This album was created during the weeks or hourd half Jefferson Airplane, with Crosby & Nash, and Jerry García from the Grateful Dead, did meet to jam. They we're all in the same trance. You can find all PERRO recordings if you search here in KZbin. The músic they created together Is cósmic. There are hours of músic from the PERRO sessions

Such an incredible band. Jorma's solo is incredible and Jack's bass is such a force. I am so blessed to have seen them live - between the Airplane and Hot Tuna sets it was a 5 hour show.

@ thx! I mean, before or after the piper. Guess, „not many“ of them after the pass-out. Due to Floyds‘ keyboarder that tragic change happened in a sudden.

@@INTERpEST no no no ..not the keyboarder Rick Wright...the singer songwritter Syd Barrett....he named and formed Pink Floyd (after two of his favourite poets Mr. Floyd and Mr. pink) Syd wrote ALL of Piper ..and a couple of Floyds early hit singles..got rich and famous..didnt like it...then dropped out/kicked out/left the band in late 1968 ..then went solo and wrote all of Madcap and Barrett albums and 40+ more singles some are better then others ..many are very good ..now you know regards john... some

@@MADCAP.R.I.P Very kind, thank You very much. No, sorry, my English is so bad. I meant, according to Mr. Wright it just took one weekend Syd to get totally screwed and in his opinion that was because somehow he completely (was) overdosed. So, according to Your Kind explanation and as answer to my actual question, lots of the Solosongs of Syd‘s are written after his brainchange, right? And some of the songs are older than Piper, right? Of course i sucked in every visual interview (cheers to Mr. Edginton(?)) i could find and it were Mr. Wright and Mr. Shirley giving the closest explanations on that phase and the solo songs. Take care 🌳

At mcleary Yes I agree with you totally I bought this album the day it came out and have loved it ever since Which is almost 55 years now I like this album better than all the Jefferson airplane Album albums except for perhaps surrealistic pillow But still I place that second to blows against the empire great album2 trippy for most people Because most people Are unconscious And unaware And sleepwalking through life This over over there head Ha ha ha

I convinced my Father in to creating a batch of pure L 25. And it was better than Bears. He was an attorney as well as a great chemist . He only made a gram but that was enough for a whole bunch of hits .We then got a shot glass and a big piece of photographic blotter paper and some overproof Jamaican rum and blotted out the hits with some blue dye, they were huge and we all had a hell of a time in Central Park at the old bandshell where everyone played frisbee and listened to Blows against the Empire and American Beauty with a little Volunteers thrown in for good measure. Anybody out there remember those days? People still talk about the experience of those huge blue blots. And it was not little sheets of Mr. Natural. I remember dimensions of hallucinations like when you look into a mirror with a mirror behind it. Wow, those where the days of true education . And the soundtrack still plays on.

Fantastic performance! Perfectly orchestrated, infectiously sung, and irresistibly catchy performance by the man who might be my favorite musician of all time. He starts off with the song, all upbeat and jumping, then slowing down at 6:08, then stopping the performance at 9:19 to hit those thunderous Eb2's, even descending a semitone to D2 at 9:24 (the lowest note Ray has sang on record), then eventually ascending to the fifth octave at 9:45 and up until the end making the most caffeinated sound I've ever heard someone make.

If I remember correctly, this album was made with very little money, on a shoestring, you might say. It was also, I think, the first science fiction rock album, mixing ideas from Heinlein with hippie acid culture. Heinlein probably hated it if he heard it, though🙂
