@@StarWarsInfinite 1st off, it's currently standing at roughly 1:2.5 and considering how unreliable that dislike tool is, also considering boting and multi accounts, not really a hard sell imo. Plus, if you take 20 seconds to look through the comments, you will find exactly what kind of people are leaving dislikes there. The kind that no reasonable person should want to associate with. And even if there were 100-200 thousand of these people leaving these dislikes, and even if those people actually would not watch the show (which, let's be honest, we know many of them will anyway, despite what they say) then that's still only a fraction of the audience LF is reaching.

@@StarWarsInfinite could be, but I also have been following the Acolyte discourse and seen barely any real criticism. There is some criticism about the lighting, which i share but which tbh is a general problem with hollywood rn, there is some criticism about the lightsabers, which i don't share but understand, and most recently people have been disapointed with the short runtime. Those are the most common actual criticisms, and even finding those in the sea of mindless hate is pretty hard. And of course there will be people who will end up not liking the acolyte for completely valid reasons. And thats totally ok, art is subjective. But of the people who are, and will be, very vocal about their dislike, the vast majority are alt right trolls crying their big crocodile tears about how woke everything is.

What are these incredibly successful movies you’re referencing by the way? Because the sequels all but destroyed story telling between TROJ & TFA. Especially considering how ridiculous the sequels stories became after TFA.

Personally, I think the best for the “job” is who should be hired. Not hiring the best available is a common denominator in the downward trend of any institution. Hiring the best available should be done regardless of race/color/creed. (Speaking in general btw, now about the Acolyte show.)
