Jessica may not have been at the controls at the time of the crash. They had just taken off in wind and rain and had to negotiate an immediate turn to the east. The plane crashed about half a mile from the end of the runway. Given the circumstances, her flight instructor might have been handling the controls during this portion of the flight.

Thanks for posting this. I’m a pilot and Jessica’s story has always broken my heart and stayed with me for years. Every pilot (like her instructor) has a sacred duty to keep their passengers and students safe. It’s sacred. She deserved better from these adults, who knew better. I’ll never forget her.

from Baltimore and agree he had the right to move the team, but as a good human being, a real man HAS to say he’s moving the team and not slink around in the shadows avoiding the city/media/fans…we wouldn’t of liked it but would’ve at least respected the decision…Ravens ended up being awesome so all worked out
