Fixing a product with a replacement part is not difficult. But with Broan-NuTone the difficulty will be finding a part. After about a decade no replacement parts will be available from Broan-NuTone and you will own an expensive boat anchor. I learned the hard way with a range hood fan I paid thousands of dollar to purchase.

Hello and thank you for your question. There are three different housing sizes shown in this video. The M-can measures 9-1/4" x 10". The N-can measures 10-1/2" x 11-3/8", and the J-can measures 8" x 8-1/4". You should be able to determine if your housing size matches one of these and follow the video for that model. In the circuit diagram, I see the diode and the switch. Is the diode built into the switch itself? I don't see it in the parts list.

Not meant for this model BCSD130BL. The brackets are long strips of metal and those hooks on them do not slide into the recessed holes on the top of the unit as shown. I'll just drill holes wherever I need them to be through this the top of this unit and into the cabinet floor, securing them with bolts and nuts to ensure stability.

Thank you for your question regarding the AI Series. The 041 indicates a low cfm and it is probably being set up with the air handler not running. The AHU needs to be running during set up. If it is a stand alone unit, you should be in T1 configuration. It would need to be rebalanced and set to T1. Rear knockout on mine was not precut. I cant get the knockout off the rear. Quality control failure. I am pissed after a 70 mile trip to purchase this unit.

I have this 690-A and it is extremely loud and pulls very little air. How can I replace it with the AER110CCTK? I know the housing sizes are different but is there a video showing how to do it?

Thank you for your question regarding the 690 upgrade kit. This upgrade kit would have been used in models with a housing size of 7-1/2" x 7-1/4" or 8" x 7-1/4" with a 3" duct size. The AER110CCTK model uses a housing size of 9-1/4" x 10" with a 4" duct size. The hole in the ceiling would need to be enlarged and the duct work along with the wall/roof cap would need to be changed to 4". I don't believe we have a video showing how to do this, but our Product Support team would be happy to answer any questions you have at 800-637-1453. We appreciate your time and please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Very disappointed with the sound. I can barely hear it. When the shower is on it will drown it out. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this?

Thank you for your question. First, we would ask that you be sure the plastic covering was removed from in front of the speaker. You can be 99% finished and the screw that holds the light on is an 1/8 of an inch too short, requiring a complete remount of the entire assembly to the studs. Infuriating product.

The narrow flashing at the base bothers me. I wish it had a few more inches and an embossed rib on the sides to prevent sideways rain travel. It's relying totally on sealant.

Why don't ya'll make an upgrade kit that actually upgrades the CFM and the sone rating? Why would I replace my current dirty fan with something that doesn't pull as much air and is louder?

Thank you for your question. The BKR60 is an upgrade kit designed to increase the CFM of its compatible models to 60CFM. For most of the units listed as compatible with this kit, it does decrease the sound level to 3.0 Sones. It is not compatible with all units. The LED modules are held in with springs as stated at the end of the video. Once the light panel is removed, the spring can be pulled up and the modules removed and replaced. Thank you for your question. If the heater element fails, it will not effect the heater motor. The heater assembly will blow cold air if the element fails. The most important item is that you CANNOT use a wired wall switch. You hard wire the line wire, and must use the wireless remote.

@@SydneyForgatch Thank you for your question regarding your ChromaComfort fan and light unit. This unit is designed to be used with the wireless wall switch that comes with the fan. We have no instructions for wiring this to a wall switch and are not able to troubleshoot any issues if this is done. There is an APP that can be downloaded, so you could try it and see if the colors work for you. If not, we recommend using the wireless wall switch.

Hello David, Thank you for your question regarding model 174 wall heater. The thermostat temperature range is approximately 40 degrees at the low and approximately 125 degrees on high. This will be the internal temperature of the heater housing, not the room temperature.
