But I think there is a place for us to also express ourselves without playing this pure attention focused game. I think about this long-term. Ultimately, they may get short-term attention and ego strokes, but I want to build a lasting reputation, relationships and trust.

This is so true - I hate how it contradicts. To be good, you actually need to do the thing consistently rather then talking about it. Yet the ones getting noticed are the loudest ones.

I hate to say it because I like this channel, but I was a little disappointed by this discussion. I received the alert and instantly clicked to watch this live. I had high hopes when I saw the title because this topic is very important to me as a new data analyst and career changer looking for a job. The future is very uncertain due to AI. A lot of KZbin channels are putting out a lot of doom-and-gloom scenarios in which AI takes all the jobs, so I was hoping for some good info from this trusted source. Unfortunately, they didn't get to the topic of AI until the last 10 or 15 minutes of the video. The info provided was not quite as helpful as I had hoped it would be. It was a bit disjointed and rambling, not really an organized conversation. Overall, this was an interesting discussion, but not quite what I was hoping for.

"When I went to start my job search in data analytics, I wasn’t having much success. Once I changed my role from manager to analyst, all of a sudden, responses started coming in." - Chris French, LinkedIn, 7-17-2024 It wasn't being a teacher. It wasn't linkedin. It was being able to change a job title. (Sharing so anyone who sees this in the future is aware.)

I’m taking the Google Data Analytics courses right now, and this video is so helpful to think of the type of projects I should create. I love the idea of just being really good at the basics.

How many years did it take for her to get the $95,000 job offer?
@HowtoGetanAnalyticsJob Жыл бұрын
She graduated from GC three years ago. The first year she did a Data Science fellowship then landed a $70,000 a year job after one year then got promoted to $82,000 in 11 months and now just secured this offer. So I'd say all in, she's been out in the professional world for just 3 years.

Coming from a different world it is extremely difficult for me to digest social activity that is entirely devoid of bravery or honor. It would sicken me to require such amounts of confidence building from other people in my day to day life. I am used to a much more cavalier utilization of my senses, and my senses never failed me. I can't believe people have to massage others with words and pretty little pictures in order to make them comfortable with choices. GET SOME HONOR. GET SOME FIRE INSIDE OF YOU.
