I am conducting a research for my college project and want to analyse the impact of Ai on Ad Targeting and optimization. I have quoted this case study but my professor wants me show the actual data. Thanks for the video! I'd like to ask and share something that's been happening to me. Much of the data on my Analytics has been showing up as "Unknown". The demographics (such as Gender, Location, Device) have a majoritary share labled as that. Could that be because of the application of signals?

I believe if you switch the reporting identity back to device-based, it should remove the thresholding issue. However, you'll obviously not be looking at blended data. But you can switch between reporting identities at any point and it will retroactively be applied to your historical data. So in theory from my understanding, you could utilize both.

Turning on Google signals stops Analytics tracking data. I was told by Google to turn on Consent Mode. Have you approached turning on Consent mode?

Unfortunately, your question falls under the "legal advice" umbrella that we cannot really answer. There are known privacy-related issues with Google Signals, so we recommend that you consult with your legal team to determine whether to turn Consent mode on and, if so, what other consent tools/methods need to be in place to use it safely. If you take that path, the best place to start will probably be to update your privacy policy.

Hey, Julia, this video is the best video to understand that. Awesome. Question: use blended should be better than use Device-based, right? Because we can identify the logged users and etc. Another question: when the threshold pass? I mean: if we stop to capturing sensitive data, this data come back to normal? I tried to filter a period where the data are “clean”, but, it seems the threshold still applied.

In time. I was reading this page, and there are saying “Data thresholds may be applied when you view a report or exploration within a narrow date range if you have low user or event counts in the date range. Expanding the date range may increase the number of users who triggered an event, enabling you to see the previously thresholded data.”

User ID is not a default setting in GA4. You'll need to implement this tracking with Google Tag Manager: measureschool.com/user-id-in-google-analytics-4/
