I got a Millennium Yellow 2004 C5 Corvette Base for $16k… Idk if I paid was way too much. 😅 It has a 6 speed, all stock, owned by a 73 year old old man and luckily it has a 41,000 miles. Registration and taxes was nearly $1900. Spent $2400 for all fluids to be replaced, 2 belts replaced, the steering rack position sensor replaced and service active handling to be fixed. i also had them tighten the end links. I love my car but still, I don’t know if I paid alot for it. 🤔

Better pull the oil pan and check the side clearance between connecting rods 1 and 2. The coating wears off the ti rods and those seem to be the 1st to show it.

@@lifeonmars03 Take your pick, there are many choices. I went with a set of Callie's. It doesn't end there though. The crank won't easily balance with heavier rods so it's best to change the entire rotating assembly. Most assemblies can be bought balanced. That is just the beginning. There is not enough space here for me to give you all the needed info. I suggest you research it.

I’ve heard of a few instances of this but it doesn’t seem common enough to really worry me. Will probably send out a sample of the oil just to make sure there’s not a bunch of titanium in it

@@JMAGarage737 It may be more common than we know. Oil testing will only catch it while it is happening. I have one in my garage with a quarter inch gap between rods 1 and 2. Only 12k miles. It ran fine, no issues. Was doing heads/cam and pulled the short block to change the clutch and investigate oil seepage at back of motor. I was shocked.
