I love the new finish! Definitely it would of been faster if you had stripped it, but even that needs to be done at once.

These are gorgeous! And I really admire you for how diligently you worked on sanding. I know that it wasn't easy but so worth it in the end.

I have been spending two weeks on looking at curtain rods and my first thought today was why don't I make some myself using wooden dowels so I ran to KZbin to see if anyone else had this idea and have done it! Glad I found this video. I won't be making the part to slide the dowel into on both ends, I'm just going to buy the hooks that you don't have to drill into the wall and I'm going to paint my stick black to match everything else. Thank you for sharing this though! It looks fabulous darling!🎉

Omg! Where have you been all my apartment life! ❤😂. I just ordered new white blinds because my old ones were deteriorating, but was thinking how I can remove them for a curtain look. Thank you!!!!!

Honestly love this. You were so helpful! Two years later and it’s Still hard to find info on repairing these things. Thank you for walking us through your process and keeping in the stain you changed later. Loved watching your baby do yoga in the frame too ❤ I can’t wait to have my four year old help with my refurbish! I’m bummed you haven’t been able to post new videos in ~1 year but I’m subscribing anyway - a video would be a great surprise! Your editing is well done too. Kudos! The energy you bring to this vid is charming ❤ wishing you the best one diy mom to another!

The final product looks nice. If you want to elevate the look, you can do a box-style valance at the top to “cover up” the hooks and make it look more elevated, or if you want to do this, swap out the hooks for silver, or spray-paint the hooks white.

You can skip the weather report and get down to the great projects. Those were fantastic. Now if you could tell us how to repurpose those empty Clorox wipes containers. I keep my plastic grocery bags in them but I wish they could dispense like the wipes.

For anyone looking for a way easier way to give a papasan some more support... just hot glue and hemp twine wrap all the joints as needed.

Looks great but usually when looking for how to do things on a budget it’s because I don’t have thousands of dollars in tools. Very pretty

I like it but if the showing of the clip bother you, they also have silver which would blend in better. I like this idea!

They would cost a lot of money if you wanted to purchase. I have 2 of the same but with all wicker sides and leather seats. It seems like a lot of work but seeing the results I am thinking it is well worth it for the chairs would cost at least 1k or much more. I love the cane color. I am wondering if a stain or varnish remover would work on the cane instead of sanding then just prime then paint. Definitely will purchase a Dremel sanding kit. lol. They look amazing.

You’ve done a great job but, I think they are too pale, I like the frame but the cover and colour of the rattan is too same, same. Perhaps a darker paint or a patterned fabric would have contrasted better for me but, well done it’s still great!.

I did this. Looks good. I used bed sheet for now. However the hooks I ordered from amz had a flat hook and get stuck on blind rod 🫤

Thank you! I was gofted a papasan chair I'm using your tips to revamp in the matter of sanding. I'm actually going to use a black permanent marker to color the reed once it's attached, when I do redo the reed part. By the way... The mamasan are 2 seaters. The papasan are 1 seaters.

You might want to hot glue some beige felt to the frame where it rubbed to prevent it from happening again. I saw another girl sealed hers with lint seed oil. You can wrap the cushion in a queen -full size sheet to keep it clean and washable.

honestly, curtains & blinds should go hand in hand, & it should be up to the homeowner to get either vertical or horizontal blinds
