Man when he says “most folks don’t understand, but I’m talking about pouring out my best friend” When i first heard that line, i cried so hard i had to pull over, literally with a bottle in my hand thats was 8 years ago. And i still get goosebumps hearing this song, when this song came out i was at the peak of my alcoholism and i was only 24 years old. Proud to say ive been sober for 5 years 4 months and 23 days. I know doing one of many rehabs i was sent too, i remember one of the councilor asking me how i was able to deal with the hangovers and ill never forget what i said to him and to this day we still keep in touch and he tell new recovering addicts whats i said to him bc it haunted him for years but it was the most honest answer he had ever got from an addict. He ask how did i deal with the hangovers and i looked at him and said “i never get sober enough to get one” it was the truth, but for anyone that may be going through the same thing as i was just know you can recover, you can do it, as long as you are ready and you want to change!

That night was my first time ever seeing them live in concert and I literally cried as soon as they started playing and I almost passed out. lol. I got so excited!
