Does summertime and wintertime automatically adjust?

Just say yes..

My ashp is in ** yet defrost every hour, water temp drops then uses around 4 kwh to get water flow back up to 44. System has glycol in it - why is it defrosting?

Curious about the melcloud screen shot in this video which looks to be a completely different beast to the clunky thing I got from the play store. Is this coming soon or just faked for this video?

Literally just came to the comments to ask the same thing....

When I press the tick on “Operation settings”, it asks me “system shut down?” Please could you let me know what steps to take?

I have ecodan split and mecloud. I would love to find my SPF, but I dont have the COP option like you do on the app. Its like you have a different version of the App??

An interesting idea is to use dimethyl ether as a refrigerant gas in refrigerators and freezers, dimethyl ether has similar properties to R134a gas, dimethyl ether has interesting characteristics compared to R134a gas, such as low GWP, low production cost, as it can be produced from methanol dehydration, could be another option for ecological refrigerants equal to r600a and r290

But these are for heating in cold environments, r600a or r134a are not the best refrigerants for heating

While accepting that good design is paramount, it is worth noting that, generally, the UK MCS tests show that R32 heat pumps have significantly better SCOPs than their R290 equivalents, because R32 is a more efficient coolant. You can see this most clearly by comparing like for like R32 vs R290 models, for example the Misubishi R32 6kW model (PUZ-WM60VAA) has SCOP of 4.81 at 35degC, compared to the Mitsubishi R290 6kW model (PUZ-WZ60VAA - a much newer model) which has a SCOP of 4.39 at 35degC. This is confirmed by Mitsubishi's own data sheets

Would be interesting to see a life cycle analysis comparing the two machines - is it overall better to have a less efficient heat pump but with a gas that has a really low GWP (for R290 it's 3) or a more efficient heat pump but with the risk of leaking a higher GWP gas (675 for R32)

True, but EU is banning all HFC refrigerants, so there will be no options in the future

@moisander8858 I wanted a Vaillant but there is no suitable location outside my house for an R290 model due to fire regs, and many homes and apartments will be in the same position, so any move to ban R32 will screw the heat pump market unless someone finds a suitable alternative

Thank you. More information would be most helpful.

have fitted a few of these, this is nothing like the quality of mitubishi heavy and there is little chance of this lasting 10 years nevermind 15. A 5kw aircon = £1500..... 5kw heat pump = £4,500 or more and you need to add unessassary control gear.

I have an Ecodan, and am now looking for a multisplit AC. Is it possible to find out which models are made in the UK?
