Looks amazing! It is nice to see that they moved the lock to the front and looks to be more flush. One of the complaints form the last gen I have read is that some people would accidentally open the side plate lock and would end up losing the side plate because of how the switch is. I have never done this, but could see it happening if I held the rod differently.

I firgit to mention that my one combo is the curado m/heavy paired with the curado 150mgl.

I must say that i fish with mainly Shimano rods. I have a few curado rods, the slx and a few spinning rods as well. Love them.

Is it normal for other pike hunters to use several types/brand of line to their reels? Ive always had same type on my reels, maybe in different diameters but thats out of a need because the spool is small as my Curado 201M. It has 0,20mm X9 and my Coastal 200 TW will get 0,30mm X9 later today.

Those are all 2pc rods, way different than normal 1pc actions! I fish mainly exprides with the few "hidden gems" in the zodias lineup (7'5 heavy, 7'2 heavy, 6'10 Med Heavy) and accidentally picked up a 2pc expride at my local tackle shop and immediately thought it was a factory mess up! Way heavier, more moderate tapers and just all around worse rods... but to each their own but I'm always sticking to 1pc rods period! P.s. nearly all the guys that fish my tournament trail have had adrenas break out of nowhere multiple times, so praying these new 2024 adrenas will be wayyy more durable considering they shaved off another 1/3oz minimum on each rod, some as much as 5/16oz. We shall see but until then...tight lines!!!

Hey tackle crew I like the expride B's flipping stick because it's has that moderate -fast taper . I've heard that the curado, zodias, expride are all fantastic rod's. Me personally I like the expride.

I have two of their rods. Great rods and great value. I won't be buying their reels. It takes a lot if time to get reel design and manufacturing down. Of course having said that they are probably made by a large manufacturer and just changed cosmetically.

Precis beställt mig ett Prorex X 8'0" -120g Lazy Pike från senaste X generationen v2. Sitter bokstavligen och väntar på att det ska komma. Aldrig känt på det, bara deras X Target 7'1" -110g. Tror ja blir nöjd med det, köpt för de tillfällena jag har gott utrymme runt mig och ja vill komma längre ut från land. Det bör ju kasta längre än mitt 6'4" -110g Greys spö, men Greys kastar längre än SG 2 POWER 7'3" 70-130g.. Grey's spöt är antagligen från innan pure Fishing tog över företaget, med tanke på vilken balans och otroligt fin klinga det är på det. Knäcker allt pure Fishing kan erbjuda med råge. Så jag hoppas ja kanske hittar nåt liknande i detta spöt fast i längre form. Jag hoppas också att det verkligen håller klassningen, dvs kastar 120g men inte mera, för ja kastar ofta numera 42-50g beten. De gillar jag med SG, dom är bra klassade i maxvikt och lite högt klassade minsta kastvikt, klarar ofta 20g lättare beten än angivet lika bra som lägsta vikt enligt spöt. Daiwa anger ju inte en nedre gräns i iaf de flesta Prorex spöna. Hoppas också på ett kortare bakhandtag för längden, arbeterar mkt med betet och hoppas kunna göra de även med detta spöt.

Are all of these meant for treble hook baits? I was looking at the expride for lighter paddle tail soft swimbaits + jerk baits (110's). Is this not the best double duty?

I'm just wondering why shimano would say that adrena blank is a regular action 😅 that's what stopped me wanting one until I seen this video, but the guy talking about snapped tips also puts me off 😅 can't say any of my shimano rods have ever snapped though
