I was an F-15 Crew Chief on Bs and Ds. Civil Air Patrol in high school, Mitchell Award got me E-3 on enlistment with BMT bypass.. Crew Chief of the Month as an A1C, the ONLY A1C Crew Chief in the entire squadron of more than 100 airplanes I might add. Below the Zone promotion to Senior Airman. Tested for Staff Sergeant and got a line number on my first attempt; never even got color on my star from SRA to Buck Sergeant, because the one day I would have worn it was New Years Day; SRA to SSgt in 3.5 years. You'd think that as a Tub Crew Chief I could get a ride in my own jet that literally had my skin and blood on it. Everyone else got a ride in MY jet. Creech's opthamologist in Vegas got a ride in my jet. Secretary of State George Schultz got a ride in MY jet. The Nellis Cook of the Year got a ride in MY jet. You'd think Tommy-Boy could get a ride in HIS OWN jet. You'd think... BUT NOOOOO... Not that I am still bitter about that 35 years later. Not even after one of my cadets at CAP went to the Academy and went on to become an F-15 Ace in the desert wars, and just retired as a Bird Colonel after commanding the Show at Nellis. Thanks Old Friend... err... Sir... I am joking. I loved it. And still love it. Type Paco Geisler into the search function to see one of the lucky few who got to fly in MY JET!!!

Awesome! I had an incentive flight in the WSO seat of an RF-4 when I was at Shaw in 1983. Part of my stomach is still somewhere over Tennessee!

why do all these plane directors do stupid shit? was bowing really necessary? exaggerated hand gesters really necessary?
@terrancestodolka48292 жыл бұрын
This Maule takes off with less ground roll than landing it. Seems that the big engine and propeller upfront have a lot of residual thrusts until you hit the reverse. pitch... Both are amazingly short for an airplane!
@namewitheld2 жыл бұрын
This is just a stupid wannabe stunt. You aren't getting off the ground any faster and you're going to suck through your fuel way to fast. Cool gimick though I guess. Enjoy all the verbal handjobs from the lazyboy pilots in your comment section.
