Have you ever turned any of these foam models into molds which was then made in plaster or other hard material?
@rootlabtx4 ай бұрын
Yes, we sure have! We are doing a bronze statue based on robot-carved HDU foam soon.
For a second hand KRC1 or KRC2 with a 100kg to 200kg rated arm about E3500 not counting transport taxes and installation and commissioning. And then you need the software licences if you don't want to program it manually.

@@najeramaximo I have a KRC1 125\150 from about 1999 you can have for R70,000.00 (South African Rands) plus VAT FOB Johannesburg.😁 Price does not include installation and commissioning but does include a demonstration of all 6 axis working.

I'm a 10 year machinist/programmer in the U.S. Where do I go to get into this? This just made me want to stay in manufacturing. A 5 axis robotic arm, profile milling EPS landscapes. I would never get bored of this.
@christopherpardell4418 Жыл бұрын
Isn’t that actually a 7 axis machine? I’ve been having sculptural enlargements milled since 1998. Fantastic technology and so much more accurate than traditionally pointing up the way I used to do it.
@hyper_sa3 ай бұрын
No its just 6 axis, lets think of it like the human arm 1- Base turns horizonally (1 axis) 2- upper base tilts forwards and backwards (1 axis) 3- the piece before the spindle tilts and turns horizonally (2 axis) 4- the spindle tilts and turns horizonally (2 axis) So after adding them to eachother its 6 axis, and sorry for my english it's not my first language.

@@hyper_sa but this one also has a linear track, so in a way you could think 7 :)
