Bought this album (and still have it) the day it came out at Bootheel Records in St. Louis. John Mellencamp produced the album, wrote two of the songs and his band is playing on every song. Mitch and John performed B.I.G.T.I.ME. on the American Music Awards show that year to promote the album. Marianne Faithfull is singing on ''A Thrills a Thrill''. Should have been a big seller.

Should have been, but unfortunately it wasn't. The music business can be very unfair.

Even if this is the original artist, I think this song works better with a female vocalist.

My dear old Dad had this album which he played alot in the early 60's, and me, I was about 5. Well, I had it pretty much memorized word for word. I think I just realized why I'm so vulgar today! 😂

It's a really good album with a lot of strong tracks. Been a longtime fan of the early Mac and you can tell in this album he really influenced their sound from Kiln House to Bare Trees. It's so unfortunate Peter Green's struggles overshadowed Danny's own demons in the media.

True story back in the 70's I went to a concert in Asbury Park NJ to see Blackmore's Rainbow. The warmup band was supposed to be Thin Lizzy who I really wanted to see. Well Thin Lizzy had to cancel and the last minute replacement was announced to be Henry Gross. We were all pissing and moaning oozing with disappointment not getting to see Thin Lizzy. We knew he was that guy who sang the song Shannon and said well this is going to suck. Henry came on and blew everybody away.... I've been a huge fan ever since..
