The guitar is modded with a single coil split.. basically turns the humbuckers into a single coil style guitar

It’s been a few years since I done this so I don’t have the session saved on my new laptop.. I think I just used a stock piano vst in ableton and a few of the stock synthesisers that matched the vibe 😅 that and experimenting with automation!

You can get most of the way there with an Op-Amp Big Muff and a Strat

Thanks man! I couldn’t get the phase effect on the intro to sound more like the original and James Iha’s part was recorded on a guitar with humbuckers but I’m still pleased in general with the tone! 😂

Wish I could have experienced moments like that in my life. I was born in 1999 and only heard the song for the first time less than a year ago.. it makes me feel such emotion though. My girlfriend got me Siamese Dream on Vinyl so I’m learning all of the songs off the record as a project :)
