Weigh the fuel tanks before and after instead of topping up tanks. The fuel consumption results will be much more reliable and easier to calculate.

They were not yankkng any ones chain with the tests…..I have a 30 etec remote steer, power trim, and electric start on a 16 ft. aluminum side console boat. It’s probably heavier than the boats shown. I can hit 42 kmh with two aboard and 46 plus when alone……and that’s with the stock alloy 10.3 x 12 alloy prop. Etecs are beasts……..

Always stick to Yamaha, then Suzuki. Stay away from Mercury and Evinrudes.

Hello.. The line coming to one injector of the 30 hp etech engine is not working. ecu is solid. There is a problem with the electrical installation. I wonder which cables should I look at? Can you please help? Yanıtla

Good boat but always stick to Yamaha outboard. The Mercury and Evinrudes are the 2 most unreliable motors from the major brands.

Wrong pick on the motor. Always go for Yamaha for reliability, re-sale value, efficiency and servicing.

Seadoo Good fun ski Beautiful through corners. Bad points are. Plastic wear rings and. Carbon. Seals Many parts available ! And lots maintenance Yamaha. Good on fuel smooth cruiser. Boring for freestyle. But. Stainless wear rings. Bilge pumps and. No carbon seal more reliable. But good cruiser he correct Kawasaki. Drinks heaps of fuel. Heavy ski. Beautiful for chop weather. Hard to get parts. And. Supercharge needs lots of maintenance. Heavy. Cruiser. Not much for play. Or free style. Young kids choose Seadoo 300 Oldies and. Ocean. Choose Yamaha Kawasaki. Ocean aswel but just rember not many spare parts. And not many. People. Specialist in repairs. They are hard to work on. As mechanical. Review Note. Evinrude etec. Dealer ! Supports Seadoo 😊. They. Are good but lots of maintenance Which is Seadoo. Equals Terrible service. Evinrude have shut down. They had lots of issues with there 2 stroke injected. Outboards Lemons of motors. Work great when working but when failing. Money. Bin 😮 oil pumps failures. 😂 in outboards you need programs. Etc. joke of a motor give me a old Johnson 😅

Little did they know..5 years later..

I had a Yamaha f150 on a 6 meter cruise craft. I felt it was a bit heavy - couldn't get the bow down well enough. Traded it for an equivalent, but lighter e-tec. Biggest mistake ever. The e-tec was gutless, slower, used more fuel, and louder. I tried different props and even took them to a tuner. It smoked - when the advertisers boasted that it wouldn't. New boat on order has a Yamaha.

The title says 30 e-tec

The real reason for not having the exhaust manifold in the center of the G2 engines is not because of length issues (they would have equal length, there). It is so in order for the pistons to lean against the cooler side of the cylinder during the power stroke, away form the exhaust hole side, so the lubrication is better and the oil consumption could be reduced.
