Hi. Just wondering what your thoughts on the propane heater. Does it work? Any problems. How much propane would you go thru in a week or month etc. I’m in Canada so wondering if it’s a viable option. Thanks.

In the future, when drilling holes, if you haven’t figured out already, use a long pole and stick it into the top of your auger and push down on the other end of it to help with down pressure.

Yeah, there's 23, late season calf or maybe some Dexter in there? Well, he made it either way. You guys have really come a long way. I wish my boys had your husband's drive. You got a good man there!

He didn't have any dexter, but stayed smaller. Both of his parents are large, so I'm not sure if the pneumonia stunted him?

I'm so jealous of you guys. Forgive me Lord!! And your husband, he looks like he belongs in the movies. Just don't go to Hollywood, evil place there. Oh, and there's the 23 calf. Guess he made it!

I love your videos! What happened with the 23 calf? Did mom take her back okay? I love your light colored heifers. Some Charlois in there somewhere. If you don't know Jesus, you need to today!

Sorry I didn't see this comment. He skins them, then freezes them until he can get around to fleshing them. After fleshing, he puts them on the drying board.

I have an old broyhill. I can reach in after pulling it up a bit and light it. I keep it on lowest setting. It turns on and back to pilot as needed. Seems like mine is deeper in the water Different style. I hooked it to two 25 gallon tanks with a splitter. Which was AWSOME...but the splitter got too cold after a few cold spells. Never worked again but it was a cheapy. Now I just use 5 gallon tanks cuz they are easy to keep up on. Never let it freeze solid or you cant pull the thermo wand up with bgg the ignighter to light. Haaaa. Way more luxurious than chipping ice !!@ hillbilly hot tub!!

I know I’ve said this before, but you all have beautiful cattle! Especially the Charolais Angus cross. Those make good mommas. That’s one of my favorite crosses. Very good job. They all look fat and happy.

You can adjust the clamp that attaches to the side, but the heater tank has to sit on the bottom.

Good Job on the farm. Just want you to know that someone else DOES CARE; per your comment on Alan Savory's channel:-) Do the best you can. Just do it wisely! For example, son for types and breeds of cattle that all thrive on your less than perfect land. Might be Brahma, longhorn, or Scottish Highland. I have no idea bc I have only seen good one video and your comment on Alan's vid. One thing is sure, I would advise you to study the work and practices of Kit Pharo. The bold of cattle that breed and birth easily and can Forage on about anything and everything would be a huge plus. All I got for now. My son did very well grazing several herds for ranchers from Nebraska, Kansas and Colorado and sells grass fed beef in Colorado. We are in Missouri:-)

There used to be a Victorian house on this place. When I was trying to find pictures of it, I found a story of Natives raiding the homesteaders and they had to run and hide in caves for days. It was homesteaded in 1873. We live next to the Rez now.

Your local seed company should have them. It would be whatever business the farmers in your area get the seed for their fields at.
