When you first put together the backing & batting, are you laying down a sheet underneath first? I cannot tell what that is. Am I missing something?

I was wondering if I could use the chain stitch on my serger for straight line quilting 2 cuddle fabrics wrong side together with or without batting and then attach a binding as you have shown in your videos. I would use the basting spray to hold them together.

Teresa, I want you to know I found this 4 years later. Found her pattern on Etsy. I had some scrap orange minky and made a batch of pumpkins for the 2-4 year olds in our neighborhood as halloween treats. Thank you for this great video.
