Glare is reflected light. The human eye doesn't see objects, it sees the light reflecting off of objects toward the eye . Choosing a wavelength that the human eye perceives as less reflective reduces both glare and the eye's ability to see an object.

Halogen light is the best and Warmer light is goo for foggy situations.

My experience with amber / more yellow light is that you see better in the shadows where the light do not hit, in snowing condition i actually found that blue light cuts trough the snow better. Also amber / yellow is less tiring for the eyes. But still I prefer white light 4000 to 5000k when driving because I can see things better, but you need more light with no shadow spots.

If you’re gonna attempt to educate the uniformed then please do so accurately. The Kelvin temperature scale is not cooler towards blue and warmer towards red. 7000K is hotter than 2000K. The perception that blue is cooler than red is inaccurate and you shouldn’t perpetuate that.

I personally don't like LED lights the color isn't natural. They are way to bright and cause bad reflections. They don't produce enough heat to keep the show and ice from melting

You barely touch on the real reason why Amber lights work better. The reason you see better with amber light is because it's less fatiguing on the optic nerve, allowing you to see more detail in the yellow broadcast than in the white. If you will go and pick up a legal pad. You will notice that the legal pad is yellow paper. Because when you read something on yellow paper your brain picks it up quicker and more accurately. LED is harder to see vegetation and nature as opposed to soft white light. It’s obvious with going camping and using Fenix flashlights with led vs soft white lights.

I thought this would be an involved installation. However, the only hard part was pulling back the fender. I turned the tires in as I did this rather than the outward. Also, I was surprised that there is only one (1) philips head bolt holding the light in. Easy job (2020 Tacoma 2.7 RWD).
