I absolutely HATE when they change the songs during a live show, adding extra words and not even in thee right key. You cant even sing along sensibly. They were one of my favs in the 90's. Shit, I'm so damn old.😢

I literally chased these guys around to every venue they played at back in the early 2000's.. LOVE them. Made it all that much better when their bass player, Chris Sooley was very interested in me.. lol Where has the time gone? I miss my youth soooo fricken bad. Getting old sucks. 😢

I am sitting In the morning At the diner On the corner I am waiting At the counter For the man To pour the coffee And he fills it Only halfway And before I even argue He is looking Out the window At somebody Coming in "It is always Nice to see you" Says the man Behind the counter To the woman Who has come in She is shaking Her umbrella And I look The other way As they are kissing Their hellos And I'm pretending Not to see them And instead I pour the milk I open Up the paper There's a story Of an actor Who had died While he was drinking It was no one I had heard of And I'm turning To the horoscope And looking For the funnies When I'm feeling Someone watching me And so I raise my head There's a woman On the outside Looking inside Does she see me? No she does not Really see me 'Cause she sees Her own reflection And I'm trying Not to notice That she's hitching Up her skirt And while she's Straightening her stockings Her hair Has gotten wet Oh this rain It will continue Through the morning As I'm listening To the bells Of the cathedral I am thinking Of your voice And of the midnight picnic Once upon a time Before the rain began And I finish up my coffee And it's time to catch the train

First heard this song on my grade 8 friend's mix cassette tape in my walkman, on a bus on our class trip to Quebec. Didn't have repeat on those things so I just kept rewinding and replaying it, with my friend sitting silently beside me (wondering what the heck) on the bus bench. hahaha. What a powerful, amazing song I'll never forget. <3

Saw them in the 90's on the Secret Samadhi tour in ATL. One of the best concerts I've ever had the priviledge of attending. Ed K. was absolutely electric and the band was flawless. Nice to hear Ed's voice is still great.

I was an ER nurse who worked the OKC bombing at the time this song was making it’s way into popularity. Although quite sad, it helped me get through this great time of confusion and devastation. It helped me to move through my emotions - crying out loud in my home (ER nurses tend to avoid feeling, when possible-it gets in the way of performance). But, to this day, every time I hear this song, I stop what I am doing…..and remember and tear up. Such a beautiful song.

I will forever love Live and their music, but Ed is one of the most egotistical humans ever born. And this is NOT Live. Ed got twacked out on some weird other wordly ego trip for years and years and ruined the real band. He still sounds good, I suppose, but I can't imagine wasting my money supporting him and his weird self-absorbed fantasy life.

much how I didn't like +Live+ when they did that one horrible album without Ed on vocals, I am also not into this. Ed solo billed as +Live+ with none of the original members. just isn't what made that band special. all of those guys were integral to that band. this is just Ed grabbin' for cash since his solo career didn't work out. 2019 the original lineup was back together making new music and their live shows sounded even better than ever, then he went and pulled his ego BS again and now is doing this. I can't support it
@rubberpigg013 ай бұрын
Just google a Rolling Stone magazine article called "How an alleged con man tore apart one of the nineties biggest bands". Guitarist Chad Taylor stuffed the band up. Also in the article drummer Chad Gracey said that Ed Kowalczyk has virtually written every lyric and melody for Live.
