No hate man but you only have yourself to blame on this one. If your an owner op i bet you aren't anymore cause that insurance claim, along with freight damage, and a wrecker bill not to mention the citation your about to get will put you outta business. You where 100% going to fast for the curve, steel is heavy and it doesnt just shift willy nilly. and man you need to chain that stuff. I know most of the time straps will be fine but it only takes a second for it not to be. Remember, you are the driver and in this industry the responsibility of so many things falls to us. The moment you left the shippers property you completed accepted the load, condition, how it's stacked and placed, and your own securement. Best of luck to you.
@kurtsibila968217 күн бұрын
@briankoehler5641 I appreciate u watching and commenting. I only received a 90 dollar citation for the cargo laying on the road. Not speeding, no erratic driving and no distracted driving. The cargo wasn't damaged because it was going to a recycling station. My insurance already paid out everything. I am 100% to blame. They wouldn't let me use snap binders. That's why I didn't chain it. Some places will not let you use snap binders because of liability reasons.
@briankoehler564117 күн бұрын
@@kurtsibila9682 lol OK, yea luck is with you. If it was recycled scrap why would it matter to them to not let chains be used, what liability? Still, your equipment is effed man. That's a loss in any book, and your rates will go up regardless.
@StayingBack7117 күн бұрын
@@briankoehler5641 Safety liability Brian, Some shippers will actually have a policy stating no snap binders because of the general liability on their property. And as you can see he wasn't going that fast in that roundabout. Why do you got to be so hard on your brother trucker? You sound like a selfish a****** that likes to pour salt in other people's wounds... That's not a brother. Your turn will come shortly Besides isn't insurance shouldn't increase that much with the billions in liabilities every year with a lot of these newer drivers And their driving habits.
