Great lesson on USX & DSX, I incorporate speed burst in my practices when learning a new lick/ Riff.. even notes on a string DSX uneven notes are USX on a string.. when alternate picking 🤘🤘
@GemeAle-x6r7 күн бұрын
When USX and DSX playing with 3 notes per string applies to what you are saying. Double escape (DSX) triads where every note is another string, these require accuracy to track the string positions. It's a different approach and you need a base level of accuracy before you can floor it.
@GemeAle-x6r7 күн бұрын
I had to slow down on alternate picked pentatonic boxes. Now that it is accurate at slower speeds, I can push the speed and it is working. I was incredibly sloppy even at a slow tempo.

just play 8 hours aday and ur good... that is the reality they dont tell u everyone
@lukeman860510 күн бұрын
@@xertiasstrat8957 nah most of my clients I help out have already put in tons of effort 8 hours a day or more. They’re just not taking the right steps, listening to mainstream advice like “play it slow until it’s clean then go faster.” Like literally who has this advice worked for anyone? Raise your hand.
@GemeAle-x6r6 күн бұрын
Yes, that's true. In the past, guitarists would demoralize the competition by telling everyone they never practice. That's what all the great guitarists did. The illusion of ease and genius crushes the competition, while secretly practicing their butts off. However in today's musical climate, the guitar community has relaxed quite a bit. I'm not sure what happened, but there is less brawling and guitarists trying to prove they are great as compared to past decades.

What's your opinion on how the wrist should move while picking fast? In a motion kinda like turning your house key to unlock the door or more like waving hello or by or waving up and down like u would if u tried to fly lol
