Is it possible to have 360 Camara on android tablet ?
@locorudy626
@locorudy626 5 күн бұрын
@@MrPoliarinis Reverse Camera is a complicated feat in of itself, the complexity that would come from a 360 camera set-up while feasible would require a lot more effort. You need to figure out how to power every camera(easy), figure out how to get the video feed to an app for Android (possible but the only way I could think of would require IP cams and Internet in the car which is also doable but not very practical). Now if you want them to activate on reverse pull up, I don't see a way that would make that possible at least automatically. Now there are android head units that have a 360 camera system. I am sure that requires special hardware as well as dedicated cameras for the hardware and on top of that an app dedicated for the feature that is probably not compatible with anything else other than the specific components. You would need to pursue that further, I don't see myself attempting that this year.

Man, I've been pondering over this idea for years just unable to figure how to turn on the Reverse Camera ONLY when I shift to Reverse. This is as clear as it can get!! Thanks Rudy for your video. Surely helps. I have now picked the Xiaomi Mi Pad 6 (Should have gotten the 4g variant really), which will be my main HU, use the USB C hub to connect a PD Charger, HDMI out to route audio to the amps and will pick up your method of reverse camera set-up. I guess I'm sorted :D Will return to this post and let you know how it went. Merry Christmas and much love from the land of snake charmers & toxic street food lol India

You could just buy completed projector LEDs for the same price.
@locorudy626
@locorudy626 27 күн бұрын
Not with the same setup and serviceability. There are LED projectors around $150-$200 that have built-in LEDs, but these are not replaceable, if the LED fails, you must replace the entire unit. If you're looking for models where the LEDs can be serviced, expect to pay over $400. These require not only the projector but also additional components like relay harnesses or diodes for an H4 workaround, plus switchback LEDs. My setup cost around $500, which I believe is hard to beat, especially since it has been functioning flawlessly for four years. I doubt I would have had the same reliability with cheaper LED projectors

@@bgnPrinceton had it in my Toyota Sequoia for almost two years running ten channels, used the built in amp to power 4 of those channels 2-6 for my active set up tweeters and 2.5 mid-range speakers. Used channels 7 and 8 for rear door fill running off a separate amp with the front 6x9s on channels 1-2. Channels 9 and 10 were used for Subwoofer. Overall 10/10 for the price of 168 total tax and shipping and features and functions. It does have negatives like there was an audible hiss when volume was fully down, it was not engine noise as it doesn't change pitch with engine it is more like the movie version of putting the needle on an old record and waiting for the song to play hiss. It is low but there which is not noticeable when audio is playing beyond level 2 or 3. Other issues were obtaining the app from the seller took an additional week after receiving the item. And if I had to nick pick comparing it with mid range dsps its boosting and cutting levels are maxed about at 3-4db leading to more cutting to get the desired sound but then it might not sound loud enough, then having to boost gain on the amp which is a fine art to keep everything clean and clip free. But I'm talking about alpines and audiocontrol Mosconi and audison price range to get the extra volume it is still cheaper to get this DSP with a signal booster like an audiocontrol matrix or something comparable. Overall I paid 600+ for my Audiocontrol DM-810 and this DSP had 80% of the features at a fourth of the price. Just took it out on my last video and replaced it with my alpine. I did gain a bit more volume and clarity but not drastically noticeable.

@@locorudy626 Thanks for the update Loco, lots of good info. I already have an AiNavi DSP that I got from Ali, just haven't installed it yet. Also have other Brazilian company models in my collection, but I never stop looking for other "best bang for the buck" types. There's an Alpine model on Ali also, but it may be a fake. I think the D4S small DSP may be the best affordable one, when it's on sale and if it suits your needs. You mentioned that your headunit has digital output....is it an Android stereo by any chance? I have a 2010 Tundra which may be similar to your Sequoia, and I went down the 'perfect' stereo journey recently. Ended up with a couple of different Android models and a few others after first installing what looks to be a defective Kenwood Excelon. I wanted a knob anyway, and that's hard to find on an affordable unit that has Android Auto. Anyway, I'm sure you know the hobby. :D

@@bgnPrinceton Yes it is a joying auto android head unit and I am using it with the coax signal output. I got it during the pandemic. It has been great until recently. It started doing the typical android radio things, mine specifically resets my apps in the home screen, steering wheel controls stop working here and there, 4g LTE sim not read if left overnight and most annoying turns on with no audio on occasions which a restart fixes but annoying. Longest lasting android radio so far almost 4 years. I've seen the 6 channel alpine on Ali Express but for my sequoia I need ten channels of audio. I installed the PXE-850x. Recoil use to make a decent DSP but has been discontinued here in the us store but might be available in AliExpress. That's quality stuff on a decent budget.

@@thomaskaradi111 you need the video card if you are using a tablet as your entertainment system in your car. @@michaelcalderon4401 ideally you want a left and right signal source for example front left and front right speakers giving you 2+ sources and 2- sources and they need to be full range. But a Mikey mouse way to do it is to grab one signal from the sub and just run it to the LOC as you will be getting the lower end of the spectrum which is what your subwoofer needs but the unknown will be the frequency cut off from the factory amplifier. But it should work. Without proper tools to check the frequency range of the factory system it is hard to recommend anything but the subwoofer signal as it will be your safest bet to feed another sub.

I That would be great and probably 2 years down the line as they work with older tech so 120hz has been the norm for about 3 years now I'd say they are close to finding a manufacturer that has brought the cost down enough to do it. In all honesty what I'd like for them to do is make one software version for all the head units maybe 1 global chip as well, what Ive noticed now having it installed over 3 years is things are starting to fail because support has stopped over time on the older versions, lot more app crashes and integration issues with the steering wheel controls, sim detection etc... Things might be different sticking to one specific chip family either Qualcomm, Mediatek, or Rock chip and develop around that, it should provide longer comparability and an overall better long term product.

I've been told by camera app developers on the app store that it is not possible due to limitations apple has in place. I upgraded the power wires on the alternator to minimize the risk of a current bottleneck, as I was planning to install a large audio system, which is now installed. The system draws about 600 volts lol 0, primarily supplied by additional batteries. To ensure optimal energy flow, I installed a 280A alternator and used 600A-rated cables. Even the stock alternator, which operates at a little over 100A, would benefit from slightly larger cables, such as 0 gauge. Regarding parasitic draw, I haven't noticed any issues. My truck can sit for over a week and still starts up without hesitation, although I haven't measured the draw specifically. Also might not notice as I'm running 2 deep cycle AGM and 1 lithium 64ah so even if I did it would take over a month to drain and the longest I go is a week at most without driving it.

Where can I get those

I made them. There are a few people that sell them online but they are pricey $1000+, this retrofitting cost me about 550 using morimoto DS2 projectors. I'll probably be doing a step by step video with my old headlights that I just found in storage.

🔴So there is only one line out. What do i do if i have two amplifier (bass and mids) how does that one line out supply both amps. wont i need a bass rca and a full range rca signal

This would not be recommended for your use scenario. You are trying to get six channels to use so what I would recommend for you would be an active 6 channel line output converter running your highs and mids from channels 1-4 and your subwoofer channel on 5 and 6. If you are looking for the epicenter effect then you would run the epicenter in line after the line output converter and before your subwoofer amplifier. At that point you could go with the regular epicenter and save a little bit of money. If you are trying to cut coat you might be able to do it with a 4 channel output converter and some RCA y splitters splitting channels 3 and 4 one pair to your mids amplifier and another pair to your epicenter then your bass amplifier. You do not want the epicenter enhancing the bass on your high or mid channels... You will blow your speakers, only use it for your subwoofer channels.

I have honestly not tried that, but I'll try it tomorrow and let you know how it goes. You might be able to bypass the Camara requirement with a USB camera but would need to test that.

@@uptownsfinest1598 I investigated the Google Meet issue and found that my unit experienced the same "something went wrong, please try again" error. It appears to be related to a Google SafetyNet scan problem. This system checks your device to ensure it meets specific security requirements. If it finds that your device doesn’t meet these requirements, it will cause verification issues, flagging the device as unsafe. The likely cause is that the firmware on Snapdragon units hasn’t been fully optimized by Joying, and the bootloader isn’t locked, contributing to the device being flagged as unsafe. Unfortunately, the only solution is to root the head unit and install a Play Integrity fix, which might trick the scan into recognizing the device as safe. I haven't rooted this unit but the px5 units were easy to root I'd imagine these would be simple enough as well. I'd recommend doing some reading on rooting and flashing Google play integrity fix. I'll probably give it a try when I have some time but I've been busy with work right now.

Toyota is famous for being late to the feature technology party. Apple car play not available until 2020 android auto til 2021, they took til 2008 to move away from cassette and til 2015 to move away from 6 cd changer. They might innovate in hybrid and hydrogen fuel cells but clearly not putting much effort into the interior user interfaces.

I use the Surface Pro 6 with no issues at all.
@locorudy626
@locorudy626 8 ай бұрын
Yes that is correct, the surface pro 6 runs Intel chip sets which are capable of running a full version of Windows. This model is the surface pro X which runs an SQ1 ARM processor, not the regular Intel x86. Windows is as of this moment not optimized to run on ARM architecture chip sets so it has created a form of emulation to attempt and run .exe applications, which works but not always perfectly, and in some cases doesn't at all. I still to this day find applications that will not run on ARM.

Yes at the 2:10 mark I show the sound coming from the lower shock bushing. It was the metal to metal contact between the bolt and the shock making the noise. Replaced them and no more creeking.

My CarPlay USB won’t work at all…won’t charge or connect by means, Toyota dealer quoted me 1500$ to replace saying it’s something with electrical/fuse issues. I told them to GTFO and will be looking into this
@locorudy626

That carplay USB port connects and is powered solely by the radio. If the radio is on it shouldn't be a fuse issue. Could be a cable issue or that USB hub. If that doesn't fix it then there is something wrong with the radio. Are you out of the 3/36k warranty?
@Pv488
@Pv488 8 ай бұрын
@@locorudy626 unfortunately yes it’s a 2019 XLE Premium. The radio works just fine and can connect my phone via Bluetooth, it’s just the USB hub that’s faulty. I have yet to try a proper Apple USB cable but it seems it really is the hub, and dealer was trying to fleece me on the repair for sure.
@locorudy626
@locorudy626 8 ай бұрын
Yes I would agree with your assessment of the quote. That quote is more consistent with replacing the entire head unit than a fuse ( correction just looked at the price for the OEM radio through Toyota $4k+). I hope it is not something faulty with the head unit but if it is there are a lot of junk yards with totalled Rav 4, if you need to replace your head unit I would go that route as they usually let them go for sub 400 dollars instead of the 4500+ the dealership will want for it.
