I don't fully understand why everything allways seem to be run at vastly more than scale speeds, it rather spoils the enjoyment of it all.

@jackburnitt31358 жыл бұрын
NuclearWinter2110 it is indeed an all purpose locomotive. very nice for when it's raining . the weight of the driver over the axles helps for traction whilst the roof keeps you nice and dry. it is now painted and is finishing being wired.
@jackburnitt31358 жыл бұрын
NuclearWinter2110 although phoenix is only a small engine she is incredibly heavy for her size. she holds a large hydraulic system with extra weight added through the electronics, the battery, oil resivroir and the 9hp Honda. the weight of the frames with just the pump and motor are enough weight to lift by hand. with all of her weight she does slip in very etc conditions. this is mainly because our track has very steep gradoents. we a very challenging line indeed !

Nice video and loco but a friend has pointed out to me the 2nd wagon brake lever is very low to the track !
@sdgrg28 жыл бұрын
Funnily enough my wife spotted that too! Maybe that's why the loco is running so slowly...............
@GrahamAustinGardenRailwaysLtd8 жыл бұрын
Great video and a beautiful slow running engine, no need for r/c or inertia devices on the level if it runs like that. Of course some of it might be down to the driving, lucky Mark.
@sdgrg28 жыл бұрын
Mark is indeed a lucky man - the loco looks as well as it runs!
