This has convinced me to not try this project at all. I do not get wiring and this further convinced me I don’t and will break something or deploy my airbag. In all sincerity thank you for showing me how to do this because otherwise I might of attempted it.

I would love to see a video detailing how you swapped from the 93-99 style steering wheel to the 2000-02 style. Even the one without the wheel controls. I prefer the 4 spoke style of the 2000-02 wheel and want to swap it into my 99 Z28.
@lsxjosh43752 ай бұрын
Super simple just to swap over the steering wheel, just remove air bag, clockspring and the nut holding the wheel on to remove the wheel 00-02 wheel will fit perfectly and then put everything back on.
@damonroger31842 ай бұрын
@@lsxjosh4375 Ok cool, so I can re-use the clockspring that's already installed?
@lsxjosh43752 ай бұрын
@@damonroger3184 yes, if it’s a wheel with controls you just won’t be able to use the controls without a clockspring from a model that had wheel controls

How much does it cost to fuel and how far can you go with full tank?
@lsxjosh43752 ай бұрын
Back when it was relatively stock got about 14-15mpg in city and depending on the economy a full tank was 40-$50

It is important to put the axle under load to make it easier to put the links on. I tried it with and without the load, and the links fit much easier with the axle holding the weight of the car in a normal position. I also used a bottle jack to slightly raise or lower the axle to make the links fit even better. More videos should mention this technique since it is not always obvious to the viewer where the jack / stands are located, frame or axle or both.

I have a 1999 Camaro Convertible and I have the top down most of the year, in the summer its in the morning on the way to work, in the winter it on the way home, spring/fall sometimes both. Get the clear uv film put on those t-tops, it blocks way more than factory GM tintied glass but doesnt hinder vision through it,,

Looking back at it I’m honestly not sure. I think I wanted to look at the cam lobes which doing that gives some visibility, but don’t think it’s required.

Except tail lights falling off ! 😮 my Z28 never fell off, and its a 95 ! Dash board cracks, check..roof needing to be repainted check, ride height, check...all were present on both my '95 Z and my 2000 WS6. Don't forget the infamous 10 bolt rear 😢 Now as for the window motors, yes they are slow, but if you want to make it easier rolling them up, open the door when rolling either 😉 side up. Makes it so much easier on the motors 😮 Nothing is perfect brother But your SS sounds and looks great. Just learn to take the good with the bad, give and take.

I’ve got a 02 Camaro SS that I THINK has a bad o2 sensor. It’s in limp mode now after we’ve had some tremendous rain. Would a bad o2 sensor cause limp mode/misfires?

Limp mode after rain sounds like something electrical is exposed and getting wet.

These cars are easy to slide even unintentionally. The reason you’re having difficulty has been mentioned in the comments, limited slip doesn’t work so well on yours. Of course it’s hard to slide with only power going to one tire.

Being able to daily driver a loose converter really comes down to what you can tolerate. I drove a 3600 around for 6 months and hated it because it always sounded like I was hauling ass every where I went. Fun as all hell but annoying to go to the grocery store or take the kids to school.
