With C&O 614 being restored, there is speculation that she could be used on these trips, since the line IS her old stomping grounds. Although, 614 and 611 running back to back isn’t out of the question.

This must be one of the 1st cab cars ever built as they look like they are from the 1930s-1940s.

That was an awesome video! Thanks for uploading it. My favorite part was probably at 10:45. I love the sound of those EMD 710s revving up. Also really like the part at 22:11...your camera does a really good job of capturing the ambient sounds and the approaching train. What kind of camera and microphone are you using?
@SDRP_440619 күн бұрын
Thank you! Most of the audio is recorded on a Google Pixel 6, with the ambient sound elevated as to hear it better. Some scenes were recorded with the Canon R800's microphone which is much better at overall sound pickup.

That sir was absolutely fantastic, first time ⏲️ watching a full length night 🌙 time ⏲️ freight trains 🚆 video 📹, brilliant captures, are there restrictions on example the use of the horn🔈🔉🔊 in or around residential areas? this video 📹 was great viewing 👌 👏 👍

Cool thanks for posting. @16:00 did those kids just hop off the tank car? is that why it was stopped at E 7th street? And what happened with the tanker at Cross street? Did they drop it before Woodhaven for the drop at Lairds on the way back?
@SDRP_440623 күн бұрын
Probably, kids try all the time to jump on and mess with the train. They dropped the tank car on the runaround downtown by Route 88.

Subscribed! I'm appreciative of your hard work chasing these trains on the old CR Bordentown Secondary/PC Bordentown Branch. Part of the old and historic Camden and Amboy. Back in the early to mid seventies as a young railfan living in Roebling, this was a very, very busy industrial railroad from Bordentown City, south to Roebling and Burlington. So many old line businesses long gone now, Ocean Spray in Bordentown, North American Shipyard in Fieldsboro that fed scrap steel to the Roebling CF&I electric steel furnaces. Still, it's so good to see freight trains run on these rails!😀😀

Than, you! I have a friend who lives towards Camden and he can attest to how it once was, sooo much busier than today but isn't that the story everywhere . . .

i wonder why the PJL has so few grade crossings
@SDRP_4406Ай бұрын
The current line was originally a freight bypass to the Erie Mainline between Harriman and Howells Jct, thus it is was built with grade separation and mild gradients in mind.

@rebooted.jupiter_14 күн бұрын
@@thekamfanner oh it’s definitely true, i saw a friend’s video on it and the ditchlights never flashed. idk why, but all i know is if the flashing ditchlights ever appear on a loco or a cab car, it’s incredibly rare
