It's quite funny hoe the decisive insult "I'd forgotten that one" is the least offensive of the lot. Clearly a joke based on the title of the song being "Don't Forget to Remember". Still justified in walking off though.

What I do love about this is that Robin and Maurice are clearly uncomfortable. Especially Robin. They'd never leave if Barry hadn't done so first but you can see Robin immediately took his opportunity.

I used to love watching Clive Anderson and the way he roasted his guests particularly when some of them gave it back to him. The Bee Gees were far too up themselves for this format of interview and I think they come off badly here. Although the quick wit and retorts along with the unpredictable reactions made for great TV, sometimes the guests would win usually by referring to his high forehead.

I remember this concert at The Royal Court Theatre so well. I'd recently started working for Radio City and was thrilled to get the chance to see Macca and Linda and Denny and the rest in concert. Memories of the night include the very first play ever of Wonderful Christmastime with snow falling and Christmas trees and the lot! Then, going into the pub next door to the theatre (can't remember the name right now) and, immediately being offered five times what I'd paid just a couple of hours earlier for the concert programme. This happened several times but I hung on to the programme! From my earliest memories of working in Liverpool at Radio City, the thing that first struck me was the enormous demand for all things "Beatles" from the people of Liverpool, so I don't recognise any of the comments associated with the suggestion that their poplularity had faded by 1979. Absolutely not the case from my personal experience and, of course, all Liverpudlians who were alive at that time, will recall the huge outpouring of grief at St. George's Hall the Sunday following John's assassination in December 1980 (a mere year after this concert)

To The Dogwoods: Hitting any woman once is once too many. You're minimizing hitting her once was okay. It never is. Great artist but very narcissistic. He became high maintenance in the studio, often the other Beatles had to tippy toe around his toxic outbursts, stressing them out. It got so bad George Harrison quit the band. He was also tired of being third fiddle to John and Paul. George was just as important.

Seeing since I've known someone who was very close to Barry, I can't watch past the first 1:10 of this. The cringe was too much for me even up to that point so no need for the rest of it. These are and were professional musicians who made some very good songs and they do deserve respect for their work and talents.
