Very nice production. Lazouli dances with a dress in his patter-song. Incidentally women aren't given much patter in Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. Also it's completely ridiculous to call the principal light comic patter-man when there are other requirements & other male characters sing patter e. g. Colonel Calverley, principal bass-baritone: two patter-songs. I liked King Ouf intentionally cracking his speaking-voice. As a member of the dissolved CLASSIC D'Oyly Carte Opera Company said to me "It's most effective", in a principal light-comic role.

Terrific production: good comic acting with lots of energy, great costumes, and Chabrier's music is excellent. Make sure to watch all three acts, and to look up the plot on Wikipedia to know what's going on.

Oh oui, les spectacle "live" sont irremplaçable et venir à l'Atelier Lyrique est toujours un grand bonheur avec une qualité de programmation et une convivialité qui font toujours un moment exceptionnel quand nous venons à Tourcoing. On ne dira jamais assez merci à Jean-Claude de l'avoir créé et à sa femme Renée d'avoir continué son oeuvre. Quand aurons-nous le programme (même si les locations ne sont pas ouvertes) afin de pouvoir bloquer les dates le plus vite possible ? Amitiés à toute les équipes

Голос небольшой, но у нас в театре его было хорошо слышно. Он в реале более звонкий) . И тут как бы все певцы с небольшими голосами .

Malheureusement il n'existe pas de captation de ce merveilleux spectacle. Il a été créé en avril 2015 et reprogrammé pour 3 représentations en mars 2018. Le Théâtre des Champs Élysées vient d'en faire une version concert avec les mêmes chanteurs pour les rôles principaux, mais ni le même orchestre et la même direction, ni l'interprétation sur instruments originaux. Dommage....
