It's funny that I was just thinking of this video this morning when I was listening to a very obscure version of this tune by Jan Savitt & his Top Hatters. It was likely right around the time that you clicked like on this! I'm glad that you found and enjoyed the effort. It is a somewhat hauntingly beautiful rendition! May you have a wonderful afternoon! 💐😎👍

We had this song on a 45 record when i was growing up that was most likely a promotional thing from Dairy Queen. I have been looking for this song off and on for years now and was starting to think i was just crazy and remembering wrong. Thanks so much for uploading this!

Didn't Mikey have a song that was called "Find the Dog that Bit Me"? If not who WAS that? I'm almost sure it was a Philly band. Thanks!

Fascinating. Every single note is spot on, timing, pitch, volume and coloration. That´s almost impossible to do.

Thanks for checking in man! It's great to hear from you. Our singer, John Smith, sadly left us in 2009, but we remember hearing about the park from him, Steve, Bruce & Lynn. Check elsewhere on my channel for a video by other Cherry Hill Skatepark allumni's band, Seeds Of Terror! Cheers!! 😎

Yes, thank you hardcore historian! I've gone back and changed every other one of the videos from this show which I took the time and energy to share with the world. They all say 1983 now, which is really the important thing when you think about it! Hope you'll be able to sleep better tonight. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused your life!! 🤣

Until a few years ago, I never knew this WAS actually its own song, and that DQ was the one that adapted it for their promo commercials in the early 70s...

I bought this record about 1954 (and still have it) after hearing it several times on the original "Bandstand" program on WFIL-TV in Philadelphia (before it became "American Bandstand" on the ABC-TV network, hosted by Dick Clark). Buddy Tate played tenor sax in Count Basie's band in the early 1940's and can be heard on several of that band's recordings on the Columbia label.

I miss these days growing up in the 70s. People were more carefree and loving one another it just brings back good memories that I wish we had right now in 2023. The cost-of-living was low. As children, ran up and down the streets without a care in the world.
