Cierto es que la catedral de Córdoba se levantó sobre una mezquita, pero hay que recordar que dicha mezquita se levantó sobre una iglesia visigoda que los musulmanes asolaron. Para mí, personalmente, las dos catedrales españolas que más me gustan son la de Toledo y la de Albacete.

Es fascinante cómo la historia de lugares como la Catedral de Córdoba refleja tantas capas de diferentes culturas y religiones a lo largo del tiempo. Toledo es sin duda una joya, y también hemos oído cosas maravillosas sobre la catedral de Albacete, ¡una elección muy especial! Nos encantaría saber qué es lo que más te gusta de ellas. @@traveltowers En Toledo además, las dos sinagogas (la del Tránsito y La Blanca, esta última ahora es una iglesia, denominada la de Sta. María La Blanca). De esta última tengo una anécdota: encontraron una bomba de la guerra civil en ella por lo que se llama a la Policía que manda a un guía canino y a su perro detector para ver si había más explosivos, dándose la casualidad que el jefe de la unidad canina era judío (recientemente fallecido) y se autoasignó el servicio. Cuando entró en la sinagoga ahora iglesia para la intervención, se sentó un momento en el suelo para admirarla, se puso su kipá y recitó el Shemá para a continuación hacer el servicio que le había llevado allá

Amsterdam is terrific. I have been there five times. So much wonderful architecture and lots of terrific museums. Better than the hop-on hop-off bus is getting a local transportation card, good for the entire country. You can also get a museum card that will give you museum access countrywide.
