I have back-up cooking means. Admittedly I've mostly used a Microwave (I've had two used ones die and I'm on the third one that I found curbside that is still working at this time, I often will put the spare ones in storage in case it dies again and I might try to get the other two fixed if it isn't too expensive). I have got an Induction Cooktop, a Butane Camp Stove, an Electric Lunch Box, A Waffle Iron and just found a used Mini-Crockpot (appears to work at warmed up when I plugged it in before buying it).

I'm a Tea Drinker. I believe one of the commercial coffee company makes coffee singles that are packaging what look like tea bags and work in a similar manner.

When camping we just use an OXO Brew Single Serve Pour-Over Coffee Maker - the pour-over makes a much better cup of coffee than the kcup ones and you have total control over the strength and buying a bag of coffee is much cheaper than the kcups.

At home i use the small aero press. Works great, small but just a bit more washing. I use a pour over in a silicone collapsing funnel thing. Small storage. Very easy to clean. Throw the filter away, rinse the funnel and you are done. No real storage area needed. Works for me.

Wow, you guys are fairly close to where I last finished a segment hike on the Colorado Trail. I hope things that break get fixed and that Lefty gets checked out and heals quickly. Enjoy.

When all that was going on, should have let Lefty bark at them.between him barking, your lights and you hollering, they would have left sooner

For K-cups I use Keurig brand, never had a problem, just have to run vinegar through it every couple months to keep it clean. They make several different models and you can often find them on sale.

Any cheap coffee maker is trouble! Might be good to have two kinds but like you said limited space so what you buy has to be good quality

You should keep a backup like I have a propane stove for backup, but my butane stove is my main cook top. Always have a backup up.

David, in my emergency bug out bag I keep a small rocket stove, which I've never had to use. But, it takes up little space and, if necessary, I could just use some small twigs or anything that burns, I could use it to boil water for coffee. Just a thought.

Just get a French Press. They’re great. Just boil water and no filters needed. Sometimes simple methods are best.

How many backups? Lol i have 3 different ways to make coffee in the pickup. Small storage. You betcha but coffee is important. Aeropress, a pourover and a 300 watt percolator. Also 2 coffee grinders because I like fresh ground with every cup. Arbuckles ariosa is my personal favorite

Don't need a coffee filter man.. pour your grounds in, bring to boil, pour cold water on the top, all the grounds go to the bottom of the cup

Bro.. y u need a gen z coffee machine? Mainstays 12 cup coffee maker is 13 dollars on eBay white or black. They last about 6 years each.. it will probably take up about 1 more square inch of space on the counter. Ditch the lame k cups and drink a real cup of coffee

I have an awesome water boiler machine. It is amazing. It gives me hot water all day long. Great for coffee or even cleaning up if needed. I do the French press method. It's so easy and dependable. I also have started making iced coffee with Nestlé Ice.

My little dog "Goldie" was approx. 9 years old when her joints got all stiff. She could barely walk when she woke up from any nap. That's when I started her on joint supplements. To my surprise ,they worked ! Might take a few weeks to take effect but boy do they work well ! I'm using "Joint Chews" by Pet Lab Co. Goldie is now 13 yrs old , bouncing, running and jumping up on the bed and stairs.

I think after this ordeal I would always keep that percolator in the van, and maybe the camp stove also! Don;t forget to buy you some filters for the percolator and an extra regulator for the stove! May have to order those filters, don't know if the grocery store would have them! Great video as always! Go Lefty!!

Not to be rude but, now you know why I don't buy Chinese crap. Mr. Coffee is just as cheap and I can brew 1 to 12 cups and know what time it is too. Save yourself the headache and buy American. Costs less in the long run. Good luck.
