HI Seth, I just got an internship at Melbourne, near the University of Melbourne. As an American how did you like it there? Is it crowded? Noise? Speaking as someone from NYC ! lol

For the hostels, I used HostelWorld. For student living, I actually got lucky and moved in with a friend from the hostel. I have a few friends that used gumtree.com or flatmates.com also!

What are cool things to do in Melbourne in the winter?

In the winter (June - September), I really enjoyed trying out the coffee scene. Melbourne us known for its coffee! I also enjoyed going out as long as you dress warm for a walk. There is so much to see in the CBD. If you're a tourist, the skydeck is pretty cool to go look at. Let me know if you have any more questions!

which uni is best for biomedical engineering in melbourne??

I haven't studied anything in engineering, and I only went to the University of Melbourne. But from what I found online the University of Melbourne or Monash University are both really great programs in biomedical engineering.
