Hello Dr Strauss., My question is can a person get a condition that looks like scoliosis from a severe hit on the right side of the back? I am 78 years old and just this week had a X-ray done of my insides which included my spine and it is curved from my bra line down, and I have never seen that on my x-rays before. 3 years ago I was involved in a car accident that caused me to be hit really hard on the right side of my back. I was diagnosed with scoliosis 20 years ago. And did nothing Last Nov 2023 I woke up with severe lower back pain down to my thighs, legs and feet. My x rays shows I had Spondylolisthesis Stage 2 with L4 L5 L5 S1 Would it possible that the severe pain I suffered is due to my scoliosis?

Well I've had 2 chiros violently jerk what was a non painful lower curved back telling me they were straightening it...leading to 2 periods of real pain. Should a curved lower back e.v.e.r be yanked to make it straight. ...I'd guess no.

What is the size oftheir curves now? Thank you.
