Merci beaucoup, Gareth. Wouldn't it be nice if churches could arrange to have You Tube video concerts to help monetize their organs, since they could always use help in these times.

Would like to hear the organ by itself. Is it leaking air?

I'm positive that that was swell and great! I love King's College Chapel. If my ears didn't pop on the airplane I would have visited Cambridge by now. Pipe organs are my most favorite instrument. And I'm sorry I never got to meet Sir Stephen Cleobury when the Choir toured the USA.

Thank you! I love pipe organs and I love King's College Chapel and Choir. I am an American Anglophile. If not for my popping ears I would have visited Cambridge by now.

I agree with Richard Lowe , great for baroque recitals but know from experience, not meaty enough for large congregations.

Sounds wonderful. I do wonder, however, how much more of a performance instrument it is than one inspired by, and designed to accompany, the liturgy?

Thanks for this, Gareth. It would have been nice to see the full specification for the organ, under 'more'. Great to know that new organs are still being commissioned.

Such wonderful voicing. The ears never tire of it nor are they strained by it. I could see many hours practicing happily on this instrument.

For such a small organ it has such a beautiful sound and range of textures/volume!

For the size of the Organ, It's a little disappointing. I think it sounds too much like a Calliope. The Flute stop on the lower manual sounds pretty nice though. But I think they could have achieved more, in the large space it occupies. It delivers disappointingly little.

Sean: It occupies a small space in a private house.

For the size of the size of the organ, it's a little impressive that you have one in your home. I think the sound is most likely better in person, but still pretty nice, given that; it is in a room of a personal home, it does not disappoint in delivery.

Great video. I think the narrator is reading from and English translation of a German original. The frequent reference to "massive" wood of various types might be more accurately translated as "solid wood."

Thanks for that -- I was wondering. The woodwork and wood pipes look unfinished, but I think she said they do coat 'em with something? Maybe a clear varnish.

What a charming sound, Dr. Stewart, I love what you make of the piece. Just beautiful. I could never play it that fast, that's for sure! A lovely instrument in look and especially in sound! A great partnership of player and instrument.
