Hey Soltys75, Great job on this!!! I am wanting to learn the song, so thanks for posting the chords. I was wondering if you could also please post the strumming pattern. I play the ukulele, though not sure I'm good enough to decipher the strum from watching the video.
@EclecticBlues754 жыл бұрын
Thanks VeganG. To be honest i haven't played my uke in so long i forgot how i strummed. I wish I could recall.

Any chance you can explain the chords for the intro?
@EclecticBlues757 жыл бұрын
I believe it was an A then a C then a little sliding lick back to an A. The sliding lick was little 2 note chords that I don't remember to be honest. Then I went into the main meat of the rhythm. Pretty sure I had it wrong but it worked.
@michaell91137 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Im trying to recreate that sliding lick. Sounded great
@EclecticBlues757 жыл бұрын
Figured out the sliding lick since my last comment. Glad you asked in the first place, as I haven't played the uke in probably a year. I needed a reason to play!. Anyhow it's on the Second fret of both the C and A strings, sliding up to the 4th fret on those same strings, back down to the second fret, then finish with a regular A chord. Hope that helps!

Ah there it is! Helps a lot, thank you my man.

Hey man what are you qtron settings at? This sounds sick! Just ordered mine. Also do you use a compressor pedal too?
@EclecticBlues759 жыл бұрын
+Sammy Criscitello I just plugged it in to try and recreate this sound. Couldn't remember because it has been a while since I did this. Mode: Low Pass Response: Fast Range: Hi Peak: 10 o'clock Gain: 10 o'clock Boost: OFF. And then make sure the Sweep is set do DOWN (so it has that envelop closing sound instead of opening). You will have to play with the gain settings for your particular guitar as the pedal is pretty sensitive. Hope that gets you close.

trent gates To be honest I haven't spent much time with the Uke lately. Played it a lot for the first month or two. Need to get back into it for sure. I doubt I'd remember how I played this.

Hey man, if you could explain your strum pattern at all that would be wonderful! You play it well :)
@EclecticBlues7510 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words :) . Without a uke in hand I can give you a starting point. The chords are A D G D over and over. my Basic strum is DUD DUU DUD DUU. Then I sort of add on from there, muted strums and such. Hope this helps, would have to have uke in hand to get better explanation to ya. Cheers!

EclecticBlues75 Ah thankuou for replying :) Would you consider making a tutorial for this song?
@EclecticBlues7510 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty bad at teaching, so I'm not sure if my lesson would do more harm than good. The dead played this song so many ways I'd recommend finding a version you really enjoy and playing along with it. I know there's a bunch of good lessons already out there for guitar, which is where I learned it first. If I do ever put a lesson together I will shout.

Thanks! Glad to share the chords. Hopefully this makes sense. Intro was Bb F C (3 or 4 times) Goes to a G on the last time through the intro. For the verse it's C Gm F F G G Dm G Dm F G. Chorus is Bb F C 2x Then Am G F G. If none of this makes sense let me know and I'll try to be more clear if I can. Happy playing!
