The NIV was released in 1978. Look up Psalm 19:7-8. "The Law of the Lord is PERFECT... The commandment of the Lord is PURE..." Therefore, the NIV is the better translation... See how ridiculous this argument sounds..

Great point! One of our main Croatian translations (the first one actually to be printed in Croatia, instead of abroad) was released in 1968. So I can use this proof as well! Never mind it is a Roman Catholic translation, basically a hodge-podge of multiple earlier translations of specific books, done by different independent translators of varying accuracy and consistency, translated under the influence of Latin Vulgate instead of original Hebrew in many places of the Old Testamen, it contains the apocrypha, and other additions to canonical books of Esther and Daniel, and has outdated words and expressions in some places. Verse numbering of certain psalms is off by one (when the title is numbered as verse 1), including psalm 19, so 6-8 in this translation is actually 5-7 in the KJV, NIV, LSB, NASB, ESV, etc. But I get to hold on to "The law of Yahweh is perfect", so the argument still stands - the 1968 Roman Catholic translation is THE perfect translation in Croatian! Hayman!

Once saved always saved is a doctrine of demons that doesn’t save anyone! There are hundreds of verses warning believers not to fall away, depart from, deny the Lord! 2 Thes. 2:1-4, 1 Tim. 4:1, 2 Pet. 2:1, Heb. 6:4-6

If you are referring to OSAS as one can say one believes in Jesus, and then continue living however one wants, ans no matter what that one will inherit everlasting life, that is indeed a damnable error. However, eternal security of the believer is completely biblical and is a part of the Gospel. Whether you call it perseverance of the saints (namely, they will persevere in saving faith all their lives because it is a gift from God), or preservation of the saints (namely, they are kept by both the Father and the Son all their lives, and no one is able to snatch them out of their hand), it is an utterly biblical concept. To deny eternal security is to deny the promises of the new covenant, namely that our sins are forgiven and will never be remembered (Heb 8:12), because Christ's once-for-all-time sacrifice sanctifies and perfects all for whom it is offered (Heb 10:1-18), and as a result we are given a new heart of flesh, we are regenerated, born from above (Ez 36:25-28; John 3:3-5) we have God's law written upon our heart, we know God personally, He is our God and we His people (Jer 31:31-34; Heb 8:10-11). Therefore, no one with a new heart, born of the Spirit is able or willing to deny the Lord, walk away from salvation because not only will they not continue unrepentant in sin, but they will never trust anyone or anything else for their salvation. Those who do fall away from the faith demonstrate they were never of the true saving faith (1 John 2:19). The first two references have nothing to do with losing your salvation. The third is ambiguous, and refers specifically to false prophets. The fourth one, in the context of the whole Epistle to the Hebrews, talks about returning to the old ways, from trusting in the finished work of Christ back to keeping the old covenant law and offering sacrifices which are only shadows and images which cannot save and are done away with in Christ. It does not talk about being converted, and then continuing in sinful living and losing salvation. To say that Epistle to the Hebrews teaches one can lose one's salvation is to destroy the entire argument of the whole Epistle to the Hebrews. Eternal security of the believer is the Gospel. It is directly tied to the work of Christ on our behalf, and to deny it is to deny the efficacy of Christ's atoning sacrifice, His intercession (Heb 7:22-28; 1 John 2:1-2), regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, all the promises of the new covenant (which is called better precisely because it does guarantee the salvation of all who are in it, unlike the old covenant which didn't).

I've just now seen it. It's been a while since I've looked at this. Since there are 10 of them, I assume those were Anderson's original 10 videos, which were taken down along with his old channels. I'll update the playlist with mirrored copies of those videos. Sadly, White only responded to the first four, so that's all there is of that.

HOW TO GET SAVED FROM SINS, DEATH, AND HELL? Jesus Christ is God the creator. To be saved forever from sins, death, and Hell, Simply BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ is your God who shed His sinless BLOOD for your sins on the Cross {1 Timothy 3:16, Romans 3:25, & Colossians 1:20 King James Bible-KJB}. SIMPLY BELIEVE in Christ that he shed his holy blood for you, BELIEVE “how that Christ died for our [your] sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: {i.e. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJB}.” Salvation, you are instantly saved and a recipient of the following Gift: justification, eternal forgiveness of sins, imputed righteousness of God, eternal life also known as the following everlasting life, eternal security, once saved always saved, immortality, in Christ, membership in the Body of Christ and sealed with God the Holy Spirit. Start thanking God the Father for the gift of justification, eternal life, once saved always saved-OSAS, eternal security, eternal salvation, eternal forgiveness of sins, imputed righteousness of God, immortality, everlasting life, in Christ, membership in the Body of Christ and the GodHead who sealed you with God the Holy Spirit. 🚩“{1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJB} Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPELwhich I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye STAND” [2] BY which also YE ARE SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have BELIEVED in vain.” [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, HOW that Christ DIED for our SINS according to the scriptures.” [4] And that HE was BURIED, and that he ROSE again the third day according to the scriptures:” 🚩 “{Romans 1:16 KJV} For I am not ashamed of the GOSPEL of Christ: for it is the POWER of God unto SALVATIONto every one that BELIEVETH.” 🚩“{Colossians 1:14 KJB} In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” 🚩 “{Ephesians 1:13-14 KJB} [13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, [14] Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” {i.e. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJB}. 🚩 “{Romans 6:23 KJB} For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” 🚩 “{1 Timothy 1:16 KJB} howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.” 🚩 “{2 Timothy 1:10 KJB} But is now made manifest by the appearing of our saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” {i.e. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJB}. 🚩 “{1 Thessalonians 1:5 KJB} For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.” 🚩 “{Ephesians 2:6 KJB} And hath raised us up together, and made us SIT together in HEAVENLY places in Christ Jesus:” 🚩“{Acts 20:28 KJB} Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the Church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.” 🚩 “{2 Corinthians 1:9-10 KJB} [9] But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: [10] Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us.” 🚩 “{Romans 14:8-9 KJB} [8] For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. [9] For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.” 🚩 “{Colossians 3:1-2 KJB} If ye then be RISEN with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. [2] Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” 🚩“{Ephesians 2:5 KJB} Even when we were dead in sins, hath QUICKENED us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)” 🚩“{Colossians 2:13 KJB} And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he QUICKENED together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.” 🚩 “{1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 KJB} [9] For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, [10] Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should LIVE together with him.” Once Saved Always Saved {OSAS} aka Eternal Life Eternal life also known as the following: eternal security, Once Saved Always Saved, everlasting life, In Christ, eternal salvation, in the body of Christ, complete in Christ, sealed with the Holy Spirit, and assurance.

Begg's main point is strong: think about salvation as God's work, not ours. We strive and struggle etc, but add nothing. Jesus saves us. However, the thief on the cross didn't just think some quasi-anonymous man said he could come. (It's an unbiblical picture of entering heaven, anyway: Luke 16:22 is the only Scriptural glimpse into this point of a believer's journey, with Lazarus the beggar as the example, and "the angels carried him to Abraham’s side.") The thief was hardly unfamiliar with the Lord. He said to the other thief, "“Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”" (Luke 23:40-41) Faith is knowledge, assent, and trust. A sufficient knowledge to know the basics of who Christ Jesus claims to be and what he claims to do for those who trust Him. Assent is accepting that His claims are true: He really is who, and does what, He says. Then trust is believing that He really is and does that, *for you*. The thief on the Cross demonstrated all 3. He called the Lord "Jesus" , meaning Saviour. (Matthew 1:22) He recognized that Jesus was dying without deserving death and was bringing in the kingdom of God, which the thief referred to as Jesus's. And he asked to be remembered, personally. This is far, far more than "the man on the middle cross said I could come." We also cannot assert that the thief on the cross was never baptized. He may well have been baptized by John the Baptist. "The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River." (Mark 1:5) The thief may have had considerable exposure to the Lord’s teaching and/or that of the apostles as they taught throughout the land. Again, salvation is of the LORD, but even in this most-extreme case of the thief on the cross the Lord prepared the thief to be saved by informing him about Jesus and His work-- and by giving the thief the gift of faith to believe, which comes through hearing the message about Christ. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9) "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17)

Christ tells us in Luke 15 that He is the Good Shepherd who leaves the 99 to seek out the one lost sheep. He tells us that He is the physician who came for the sick, not the healthy. Even on the cross, even in His final moments, He remained a shepherd and doctor.

8¶Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, 9who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began,

I know all about this theology having graduated from a Lutheran seminary, a place where there is only one sin: to suppose that the individual may have something they are responsible for doing with regard to their salvation. Notice how in the very first sentence where the speaker refers to "faith plus works," the two are posited as opposing actors. In the Bible they are not. In the Bible they are inextricably linked ... hard-wired together. It is only after you have accepted his dichotomization of faith versus works, that you then have to fight over the contest. Don't accept it and you don't have the contest. In the New Testament epistles, Paul and James complement each other. They do not, as my Lutheran seminary professor insisted, contradict one another so that "One must choose between Paul and James." Yes, that is a precise quote from him. Don't buy it ... don't allow it.

I know this video is 3 years old, but I have just started studying Hebrews and 2:17-18 and 4:15 have stopped me in my tracks. I do agree with you on Christs impeccability. But since it is not in His nature to sin and it is in my nature to sin, how can I relate to Him who knew no sin? Is it even possible to be tempted if He by His Devine nature, cannot sin? Analogy: My nature as a human means I cannot breathe under water, no matter how I want to I cannot or I will die. So I cannot be tempted by Satan to go into the water and breathe, knowing that upon first inhale I will drown. Please help me here as this is causing me to stumble greatly. Thank you so much.

That may be so. But they are factually wrong about both the King James Bible and Reformed Theology. One can be excited about what he believes to be true, but actually be wrong about it. I understand that, since I've too been on the opposite side - a King James Only Calvinism hating Independent Fundamental Baptist. So I know, believe me. But that changed once I actually listened to what James White himself says about the Gospel, justification, eternal security, as well as inspiration, inerrancy and preservation of the Bible. I learned he was (and still is) grossly misrepresented and slandered, as he was in this very video. And that is wrong and it is a sin, because Calvinists who are not King James Only, such as James White, are very solid on the Gospel and the Book and are our brothers and sisters in Christ, but are presented by the IFB as the greatest enemies of the Gospel and the Bible. What does 1 John 4:20 say? I would encourage you and kindly ask you as your brother in Christ, please take the time to with an open mind listen to what James White (and others who are spoken against in the KJVO IFB circles) actually teaches. I recommend his sermon "The God Who Justifies" kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZ-sq6RuatdmhLMsi=bHhXjsgBkrmbrqTZ . Also "Hebrews and Limited Atonement" (which is more of an emphasis on Christs finished work on our behalf to perfectly save forever) kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJ21lYSEhb1_jdEsi=CkUyNTTCMBvVJIi3 . On the preservation of the New Testament, I recommend this kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqbMkqyrrbyqq6ssi=XpUzdHnFP5FeqWqU and this kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKLGqJaupN2ii9Esi=6ft46hYsc2PYCao9 . I'll never forget the last sermon before I left my home church. The preacher's main text was 2 Samuel 6, which is about the time Uzzah reached out to steady the Ark of the Covenant when the ox stumbled, and God struck Uzzah down because of his irreverance. The preacher equated the Ark directly to the KJV and the pastors who preach from it. He even called out the page number of his Bible before saying the book, chapter, and verses, assuming that most people had the exact edition that he had. My heart broke as I sat there thinking about the possibility of having a lost person in the congregation. The preacher at no time mentioned the need for Christ.

I'm in the same situation. The closest ostensibly evangelical Baptist church to where I live, and which I attend, is also ecumenical, while Reformed Baptist (well, Calvinistic Dispensationalist rather than Baptist Covenant Theology Reformed) churches are hundreds of kilometers away from me. It does impact the fellowship, because while I have good relationship with everybody, I find myself unable to really talk theology with anyone, lest I should seem close-minded, or as one of those horrible people who believe in predestination. Not to mention there's no one in my age group (single, that is, without a family of their own), let alone Reformed in their theology, with whom I could have a meaningful fellowship. So I feel more like a regular visitor (both on Sunday worship services, and mid-week Bible study / prayer meetings), than an integrated member. But I go there primarily for God, not to make make friends, so I don't know... We'll see how it goes when a new pastor comes later this year, the current one planning on retiring... For what it's worth...
