Hello Laslo. I was watching your video about how to remove and update via Android radio to a Mercedes Benz ML class vehicle. In my case I have a ML 350 from 2007 and they already changed the original radio for an Android one. What I don't know is if it is possible to connect the CD player that comes from the factory installed inside the glove box. I don't know in the video I'm watching you were able to do it or do you have any idea if it is feasible and if so, download an app that manages said CD player. I have Mercedes Factory Headrest DVD, that has the DVD that loads into the Dash Command Head Unit. There is no DVD Player in the back, or in the existing DVD Headrest Monitors. Is there a way to not lose my Rear DVD Entertainment with this new Avon 9” stereo unit

I looked at video's helping me understanding fiber optics.my cd box in the glove was out.I bought the bypass and it came on but still no sound.I can hear little thubs in the speakers. but no audio. what should I do now . I want to put the system that your video show's but I can't do anything until I get sound. My car is a 2006 r350.

Brilliant Video, I also have the harmon kardon system however from my head unit I don't have the left and right audio that is supposed to connect into the fibre optic decoder. instead I have RR RL FR FL SUB which is all the individual speakers. Please could you advise what to do there?

I did this on my GL 550 2009 ,it worked but it drained car battery completely several times. I had to remove it unfortunately.

Thank you, I could install Apple CarPlay on my Benz GL 450 -2011. I only has issue with AM radio, still don’t understand why I can’t hear any sound from AM radio, but for FM radio I can hear it well :o

Hi Laslo- Just ran into your video. Exceptional and just what i was looking for. I have a 2011 ML350 W164 and am installing an AVIN Android radio. I followed your instructions and everything works except for the radio reception. I cannot get it to work. I suspect it has something to do with the antenna amplifier turn on signal. What wires need to be connected. I ran a 15ft FAKRA to the rear passenger seat and connected to the sirius antenna. Nothing works. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I’ve been to 2 different installers and no one can change my stereo because of the fiber optic wiring- I bought the additional harness and still they say it’s not able to get sound unless they rewire the amp! It’s so frustrating
