Peter reportedly suffered a breakdown induced by LSD. Years later he put out some excellent albums. There is also a great album from 1969 when Fleetwood Mac joined some of the Chicago/Chess Records blues greats (including Big Walter Horton and Otis Spann) in the Chess Records studio and laid down some great blues music.
