There's no-one around today who would've played those two shots - Jimmy way ahead of ROS and Trump in terms of being an entertainer....just the best.

I calculated 1 in 231,525 ie 1 x 21 x 5 x 21 x 5 x 21 = 231,525 which is still very unlikely, if you divide that by 8,305 (the number of episodes) it is 1 in 27.8777 which is unlikely, but conceivable.

Y is a vowel, no?
@handy19642 ай бұрын
It is used as a vowel in words like 'gym' and "cycle" but is usually classed as a consonant, some class it as a "semi vowel"

Mmm, it is you know. In English there are only five vowels.
@xxxx852 ай бұрын
@@jonathanmoeg1202 Haha what? Really? What about the word "really" - the Y is a vowel. "Very" - the Y is a vowel. How would you pronounce the word "cynical"? You can't do that with consonants... I don't get it. Whoever made that grammatical rule made a mistake 😂

Entirely random of course, unless you're the guy who puts the letters there in the first place. Not 1 in 4.48 million but a certainty.

"Amazing Countdown moment as Rachel Riley spells her name at odds of over 4.48 million to 1 !!!" No, the "Odds" are 1:1 because the episode in which it occurs is not chosen. There would have to be only one draw for those odds.

So strange that y is considered a consonant in English.
@richardbroman3 ай бұрын
Since when did ”y” become a consonant? Or is this some peculiarity of English…
@jamiemsm48833 ай бұрын
Wait is "Y" a consonant in English? in the Danish alphabet it is a vowel. So the word "Why" is written with only consonants, thats kind of neat.
@maxwell92113 ай бұрын
Well, It's actually just a peculiarity of categorisation in English. Y is only considered a vowel if there are no other vowels if none other are present. So for instance, in Y it is considered a vowel, but in a word like 'actually,' it's a consonant. Don't ask me why, I didn't make the rules

@smeggeruk3 ай бұрын
Even with equal distribution (and you have to ignore the fact that the contestant needs to choose the right sequence...it happens eventually) it would be 21x5x21x5x21 (21 different consonants and 5 different vowels)...Not even 250k/1 chance. That said, if you want to take into account the distributions you also need to factor in the fact that there's fewer tiles after the first 2 have been placed and the odds of each letter appearing changes slightly as you progress.
