I saw Linda Ronstadt in concert singing this song live. Her vocals were amazing and powerful it sounded just like this and even made my ear lobes vibrate.

there are some big shoes to fill when it comes to this one…and she does so fantastically in HER way. Hard to replicate the sorrow of the song even tho the lyrics are not the same. Her tone is just as forlorn as the original.

I was a Zevon fan, but up until a few years ago I didn't know this album existed. This song came on, and it was obviously Zevon, but I kept thinking to myself "man, this sounds oddly like Momentary Lapse of Reason era Pink Floyd..."

The love of Jesus is the beacon that illuminates the darkness of the world. He came to meet humanity not with empty words, but with the concrete demonstration of His unconditional love. In His life and sacrifice, He showed us what it means to truly love: to give oneself completely, even to the ultimate sacrifice, for those He loves-and He loves everyone. Jesus did not come for those who considered themselves righteous, but for those who recognized themselves in need of salvation. His greatest proof of love was the cross. In the darkest moment of history, when it seemed that death and sin would prevail, Jesus gave His life so that we might have life. He took upon Himself all the guilt, all the shame, all the pain, so that we, sinners, could be forgiven and reconciled with God. This sacrifice was not an imposition, but a choice of God’s heart to save us. Salvation in Jesus is not just an offer of a heavenly future, but a real and powerful transformation that begins here and now. When we accept Christ’s invitation, we are freed from the burden of sin, healed from the wounds of our souls, and restored to true life. He calls us to a life of peace, joy, and purpose, where we find our true worth in His grace. The love of Jesus is not a passing emotion, but a constant presence that sustains us at all times. In the midst of difficulties, He promises to be with us, guiding us, comforting us, and strengthening us. His salvation is the assurance that no matter what storms we face, we have a safe place in His arms. Jesus does not call us to live by our own strength, but to live in His strength, to walk in His love, to live as He lived. He teaches us to forgive, to serve, to love without expecting anything in return, to seek the good of others. By accepting His salvation, we not only become heirs of eternal life, but also ambassadors of His love and mercy in this world. Jesus’ love never fails, and His salvation is eternal. He invites us to a new life, a life of true freedom, where sin loses its power, and God’s love fills every space of our being. By following Christ, we find the true meaning of life: to live for Him, to spread His love, and to be transformed by His grace, now and forever.

I've often day dreamed Ivwas dressed like that and walked to the front of a pop concert and danced like that infront of the band. In my dream though, I'd be slimmer and my hair would just be my usual brown, but much longer, parted down the middle and wth a fringe.
