Ugly or not Anne was still the luckiest queen and wife, she got off with her head and rich with fortune. She also gained the title the king’s sister and got hever castle as a reward for agreeing to his demands

Her courage and resilience touched my heart in so many ways in a time where it was easy to led astray to save yourself Margaret clitherow is on example of selflessness who will go beyond in helping other people in times of needs.

I think that Queen Margaret Tudor was the sister of Henry viii and his elder brother Prince Arthur so we’re all just one big happy family🥰🧬

Thanks for posting this. Many YT channels actually say Elizabeth was tolerant of Catholics.
@HistoryRoadshow2 күн бұрын
It’s true that Elizabeth’s reputation for tolerance is often overstated. Margaret Clitherow’s tragic fate is a stark reminder of how risky it was to remain devoutly Catholic during her reign.

I hope this doesn't go against the Fair Guidelines but Otto Von Bismarck yeechhh leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Ooooh what the world would look like if he had never been so ambitious and inspired ambition in his protégé Wilhelm II

I had been telling people since the mid 1980s, after I'd seen a documentary about how she'd treated her two mentally challenged family members, that she was an evil old bag. Isn't it funny how most Brits are taken in by the nastiest of rich people, especially when they're royals. The old serfdom sheep-minded people are still well and truly flourishing.

She was no great beauty or did a days work unlike other aristocratic ladies at the time Made her husband feel like a poor second best to Edward All those fake smiles and real lack of empathy or sympathy never washed with me

An early days, she and her husband were colluding with the Nazis to overthrow the current monarchy and put him and Wallace Simpson on the throne asKing and Queen, puppets for the Nazis. Fortunately, that didn't work out.

Not only freedom of religion, but freedom of speech is important. Religion has been the source of intolerance and wars for centuries. I visited her house nearly 10 years ago. It's a lovely little house, small inside and it soon filled up with visitors. Thanks for the video.

I really appreciate your thoughtful comment! Visiting her house must have been a powerful experience. Her story serves as a reminder of the importance of tolerance and the freedoms we value so much today.

Margaret Clitherow would not admit guild not just because she would not swear on a Protestant bible , but also her husband and children were Protestant and for her to admit guild would have caused her husband to lose his business and fetch trouble to him , her hand is in the bar Covent church

Margaret Clitherow’s refusal to admit guilt truly showed her selflessness and courage, as she prioritized protecting her family even in the face of such dire consequences.
