I think that in your first example at 10:00 you were half correct. The German unit can't see the Russian unit in the woods because the medium cover reduces spotting range to 7. However, the German unit is in the clear, so the Russian unit can see it because it's within the 20 hex base spotting range. Spotting is not always reciprocal; it might be that one unit can see the enemy, but not the other way around.

Thanks for the Video A few points to clarify.. Infantry teams mounted in the 1/2 track get a saving roll of a 3 + if the 1/2 track is destroyed by defensive fire. 1 saving roll per team. If a 1/2 track is bailed as a result of being hit in the assault pahse then that !/2 track will be captured iby the infantry if the Panzergren unit fails to pass a motivation test to carry on the assault. In effect its left behind when the other 1/2 tracks fall back and the Soviet infantry consolidate due to them winning the assault. As a result the 1/2 track that is bailed is stationary so cant move away. and voila it is captured and destroyed.

very easy... I'm learning the game, I don't know everything, I'm new to the game and I'm trying to pass from reading the rule to apply the rules. The aim point for me for those videos is to place them on youtube and peoples who watch them can correct me or improve my knowledge. By the way I never said it is the only way to conduct assault the aim was to show the step of conducting the assault against a pinned unit versus unpinned unit Thank you for telling me about the blitz move for infantry. But I try to find Blitz order and did not the only think I saw is "tob speed" and if you use top speed you can't do anything else, meaning no Assault or firing after the top speed

I’m still printing your buildings, I modified the plainer looking townhouse with some window shutters in Tinkercad. I recessed the sides of the building so the shutters wouldn’t stick out, then they can sit side by side in a row touching. I thought about doing a dice tower with a facade of a big burned out factory or building. I had started one for Adeptus Titanicus years ago, what angle did you use on yours and would you change it? I was going to try 45* to start with.

@@arcticfox8932 Oh I got it, I also started using your factory to widen and fit around it. The goal is to make it look like the dice tower was some kind of smoke stack shroud and the factory has been bombed. Then the first level walls of the factory act to corral the dice as they're rolled so the tower serves as terrain on the board! It's pretty fun messing around in TinkerCAD, I'm going to print it at work after I get a few townhouses done. Thanks!

What are you thinking about this compared to miniatures games?
@arcticfox8932
@arcticfox8932 Жыл бұрын
I learned to play FOW with the principle that you trust your opponent. Honor system. But in truth, you can't trust a majority of players... Now just thinking about playing a game with certain players takes all my energy, because I can't trust them and I'd rather not play FOW anymore, I assume most of the tabletop game, like FOW, are open for easy cheating. I understand misinterpretation of certains rules may look like cheating... I do interpret some rules a certain way, and I may be wrong... But most of the time I will say I'm sorry and try to correct my play. Even if sometimes I still feel I'm in the right, all for the enjoyement of the game I will try to with is rules, because like I said FOW don't have any rules they just have guidelines... No riules, it's open season for cheating. Really few peoples I played with that I can trust. Even some peoples I played often against and trust them, I start to pay attention when it is his turn instead of trusting him... and he is constantly cheating. So tabletop game is not as fun as I was thinking because the amount of cheating As for GMT Panzer, the rules of the game are very clear and precise. movement is counted in hexes which makes the game, for me, much more enjoyable to play than playing against an opponent who tries to cheat every turn and whom you cannot trust... If you are looking at the tools to play the game Panzer is a BIG desapointement.... There is some flexibility in the rules to choose if you want to play with all the rules in the book or if your opponent agree select the rules you will play the game with and could be as much fun to play.... But for me, a good and fun game is a game with some rules and you play the game as intended to be.. I have few more video to make explaining the basic rules and then I will play the first scenario... I intend to make a video after that on the overall game play and give my feeling about the game.... But so far, Basic rules are simple and make the game easy to learn and play. Because of the rules cheating is difficult, I personnally think it's a good think for a fun and pleasant game

Great to see the historical scenarios. However, I don’t believe any of the tanks got off the beach due to shingle so could have been built in here.
