good visual instructions, although the logo on the shirt distracted from the fly. Also, voice did not project clearly, and was not easy to understand

Should pick out some of those hackle fibres you trapped with the wire rib to have more on the bottom, you would have a better fly!

First of all thanks for doing this video, well done. In the past I have had issues with the wire getting kinked a bit after fishing it for a while and also after fighting a fish and then the hook rides sort of crooked. I don't like the use of braid because (and this might be my casting) it gets soft and will flip up and on to the shank. I have been having pretty good luck using 20lb Maxima Chameleon. Just wondering if you have had these experiences?

Jim, thanks for telling us about the history of your Teeny Nymph fly. It's fascinating to learn how it all started. I've used your sinking tip line ....years ago, on the Washougal R.....and hooked a very large winter fish....the first time I used the line. You may not remember this, but around 1978, I was fishing the upper Kalama when you were there. You were on the opposite side of the river, and you were watching the steelhead I was trying to catch. The Kalama was a terrific river at that time. I have not been back there in many years. I know that a flood changed much of that river. I have one of your salmon fly fishing videos. I just want to wish you the very best. Bob Tusken (Clyde Park, MT)

I have that rod and I love it. It's really more of a 7/8, however, than a true 8wt. It doesn't really throw tips and heavy flies like you would expect. It throws the same lines that my Echo TR 7130 does: Skagit 540, Rage/Scandi Long 510, Scandi Compact 480, Airflo Delta 540, Beulah Aerohead 510. It's no boom stick, but it's light and crisp, and is more sensitive than my other Echo rods. I really hope they come out with a "Long Spey", a 14' 9wt with the same taper/graphite/finish would be a great winter steelhead/chinook rod.
