The name 'Dødheimsgard' is derived from three Norwegian words: 'død', which means 'death'; 'heim', which means 'home'; and 'gard', which means 'realm'. In English, it roughly translates to 'Realm of Death'. “Black Medium Current” was awesome! Release date: April 14th, 2023 Catalog ID: CDVILEF949

Damn, i love those thrash metal albums of his, i didnt expect Rauta to dislike them that much! My favorit album of his is still probably The Debut, the first Bathory album i got. I was 17, and it must have been back in 2000/2001.

I think i heard of them like few years ago randomly from youtube channel black metal promotions or something like that and they kind of hit that weird spot where it was like damn, need to do some support for these guys so to this day its only physical products ive so far ordered from bandcamp(first album backpatch and second album patch). Wouldve loved to add albums as well but strangely cost of postage went insane if i added either to them so had to skip it. But hey, if i remember right those were limited to 20 and 50 and at least one of each made their way to turku, finland xD
@kasuaalimagia529Күн бұрын
Not sure but i think the two members of the band are brothers. Did some research when i found them back in days and i have some memory that it was the case. Kind of added to that bit of immortal vibe of band of brothers(yeah, abbath and demonaz are not brothers by blood and stupid amount of immortal lore would be needed to explain the point if one is not familiar with all that doom occulta-stuff)

@@kasuaalimagia529 thanks for your support, indeed we're brothers ;)
@kasuaalimagia529Күн бұрын
@@depressivewitches neat. I know this is about "come to brazil"-level of a comment but weirdly i was thinking how great you guys would fit to lineup of zobens un lemess festival in latvia as im not exactly having high hopes of seeing you live anywhere nearer than that in near future, but that could be a good fit for both festival and band. Just food for a thought and ehh, if bandcamp remains thirsty for huge postage rates like a virgin at witches onlyfans at least i can keep listening your stuff online anyway :)

Blood Chalice does it perfectly! I have nothing but distain and a deep rooted disgust for the politically correct. Metal bands trying to be PC are nothing but a joke. They might as well be clowns in the circus. Thank goodness, we have bands like this to give us what we need.
@RautaMetal2 күн бұрын
Yeah pc stuff suits mainstream bands for sure - because of money and fame - but extreme metal? Fuck no.
