@ well the great news now Is you can use micro LEDS. I did a video on them recently where I added some To a truck. Now if I was building another airport the micro ones are the only way to go scaled size mean you get the effect without even knowing they are there. If you jump down to a smaller scale as mentioned in the video the hero’s kit is a fibre optic light it that makes for a uniformed and controlled light source. @josefbucklandАй бұрын
@@DBtrainfanatic I don’t know, did it? The question reads like a statement so if you’ve plugged them in and realize that it was wrong, my suggestion is you unplugged them and plug them into a lighting hub as opposed the expansion one I can’t see it would be the end of the world they just come on at full brightness, but if they’re not Woodland branded ones and or don’t have a resistor then yes so if you’ve plugged them in and haven’t switched it on then unplugged them and I would recommend plugging them into the correct thing and you should be just fine thanks for taking a peep. I was hoping to find a video like yours. When I asked the question of using non-Woodland Scenics lights on another forum, I was told that it was not a good idea because of voltage differences. Your video suggests otherwise. I thought it would be strange that modeling LEDs wouldn't be somewhat universal. Anyhow, thanks for your help. Moving forward here in the PNW.
@josefbucklandАй бұрын
@@davidstephens8550 there are some exceptions, but the easy way to find out is to plug it in and gently bring it up if it’s not lighting up or working, don’t panic about it. You’ll need to do something else or research the product you have but for 99.9% of all the LEDs on the layout it’s fine with the exception of the Smiths chips factory and the bowling alley which have special 4.5 V rails but the rest it’s fine on my engine shed which I haven’t done a video on just yet I have the basement lights and they are just hardwired straight to the 12 V power rail, but the restaurant dimmer is up to an including a spectacular video you’re about to see at the end of January and the unveiling of the final product will be on 7 February and that’s another great example of what the Woodland scenic system can do with a whole bunch of mixed match lights so please stay tuned for that oh and they’ll be another one coming up in mid February as well where we once again take some Chinese cheap LEDs and have more wonderful success so please do stay tunedThanks for taking a peep and thanks for the comment and the great support.
