A very deep understanding of a difficult terrain and objective presentation! It would help, as a set of knowledge, to lay foundation for efforts for betterment of life of Tamasha artists to claim their rights - human and intellectual. It also opens up need /possibility for new areas of research, such as openly discussing what happens within four walls, women coming up to enjoy this form, the audience being men of all caste, the paradox of enjoying an art form but talking degradingly of it and the artists!

Really 2012 rape was victim blaming.... Whole India Rose up for her justice.... But it won't be seen as well crafted intellectual exercise for academia as victim blaming one right!??
@rajendradangi2585Ай бұрын
If you don't consider surpanakha victim intellectualisation of her as woman won't be completed..... Here in this case academic work on her means she is victim.... Otherwise it won't be academic work..... BTW there is tadaka as well.... As Ravan was also victim of Rama's violent war... He just wanted Sita that is it

Excellent research contribution Prof.Priya. DNA evidences are getting collaborated broadly with historic data. I wish your research should strengthen with further dna samples from Harappa, Keezhadi, Aadhichanallur, Korkai in Tamil nadu. Excellent presentation and this dna based history is more scientific and convincing. Please update research details in more lectures so that our children can understand. Great work Madam. Good wishes to your group.

Listening to him was enlightening. His exceptional knowledge of both classical and contemporary Bangla and English literature is impressive. One hypothesis regarding the limited success of Tagore's self-translations could be rooted in the inherent inequality between languages. As a bilingual translator, it's clear that achieving perfect equivalence between languages is impossible, especially with culturally specific terms that lack direct equivalents in the target language. In this context, Vermeer's skopos theory becomes particularly relevant, emphasizing the importance of transferring semantics to meet the expectations of the target audience. According to Vermeer, the source text is metaphorically decapitated, requiring the translator to prioritize the target language's semantics. Tagore may have believed that the Anglophone audience would not grasp the cultural nuances if he retained the original terms. In the 20th century, successful translations were often those that were unmarked and easily readable in the target language, which might have been Tagore's goal. Similarly, Qurratualain Hyder's translation of her work Aag Ka Dariya into English is a complete recreation of the original. The decision to maintain markedness in the target language depends on the translator's bilingual competence and personal choice.

Its funny to see a xtian trying so hard in vain to criticize indigenous epics. While: a vile hate pamplet called bible contains nothing but incitements of extreme violence, gen0cide and destruction against indigenous ppl and their places and icons of worship, that xtians have applied in real life throughout recorded history, across the world, against indigenous communities.

The absence of ASI dna in the European - Central Asian inhabitants in the IVC post 1900BC confirms the massive IVC migration in 1900BC to other parts of India. Both groups, one of European Central Asian origin,the other of ASI native Indian-origin, were distinctly different. They were both seperated by time 500years.

The ASI refers to the inhabitants of IVC before 1900BC

The absence of Steppe DNA (R1b) in ASI will confirm the migration of the ASI in 1900BC. The Steppe horse mounted invasion passing through the vacated IVC was male dominated so only R1b dna.

The attempts at invasion of the IVC in 1900BC by Barbaric Steppe Horsemen activated two successive msssive migrations in the subcontinent. The Indus valley inhabitants moved out in 1900 BC and the Vedic Aryans moved into the vacated Valley in 1500BC. The valley lay unoccupied for 500years.

The Indus Valley Civilization reached its peak from 2600 BC - 1900 BC. The flourishing and wealthy IVC naturally attracted international attention. The IVC with so many Cities over such a large area was never subject to any attack till date. So, a standing Army was non existent. But 1900BC the IVC came under severe threat of an imminent invasion led by barbaric Horsemen from the Russian Steppes. They had gathered in Kandahar and would attack the IVC through the Bolan Pass in the Hindukush mountains. All the IVC inhabitants systematically evacuated and abandoned their Cities. They migrated in a scattered manner with their families belongings and wealth. They settled in other friendly and familiar parts of India peacefully. They are present in 85 percent of current population The invaders were dissapointed and returned home unsuccessful in their quest. The IVC had gone for good and so the abandoned Cities lay isolated and devoid of human Inhabitation until 1500BC when migrants from Europe and Central Asia slowly began to settle the Valley. They brought the Vedic Culture to the area with a different language and religion etc .

The IVC once again demonstrated ther superior military strategy and human values. If they had stayed put they would surely have been annihilated. That did not happen. Archeology bears testimony to that. They survived a possible massacre and are alive today.

All the backward class should think of their fate in our indian society in which they are placed despite their stake is more than 80% of indian population. Unless these classes shattered aside their differences in the rural areas people & in urban classes they would never come to political power in india even many Illaiahs come up to be their pulling wheels as we have been seeing for the last 75yrs Independence. Many stalwarts & icons of these communities like phule & Ambedkar etc tried to their best to make these classes united One but not yet work out sofar. Advising these backward classes & Dalit leaders to realize their position & push up their people to a worthful Social status.
