Just a shame a couple of jerks are heard at the end of this. This is the most picturesque part of the canal IMO.

I miss that place so much. The chippy near the bridge and the bargain shop still selling stock from the early 70s and shouting at children. Such good memories ❤

An honorable attempt, but unacceptable camera shake. Did "the virtual tourist" take drugs? Ehrenwerter Versuch - aber unzumutbares Kameragewackel. Hatte "der Virtuelle Tourist" was eingenommen?

I have visited the grave site twice. The first time was over 30 years ago when you could walk up to the grave. People had chiseled off pieces of the stone. The next time I felt unsafe with the people who were around the site hustling money. Glad to see that there is a fence up and maybe some security. Sad also was the graffiti on the surrounding graves. Loved the doors music, disappointed in some of his fans and what they did to the grave site

Thank you so much! I grew up here from the age of 6 to 17. It was amazing. My Dad was the Head gardener and we lived on-site in ''South Lodge''. I knew Rosalind (Agatha's daughter) very well, my mum was her personal Secretary and later Nurse, and I spend countless days with unrestricted access to everything you see here. This video really sparks my childhood memories, down to the smallest details such as specific flora and rocks. I probably know this place better than any living person on Earth, and I am so lucky to have called Greenway ''Home'' for any amount of time, let alone the decade or so i explored every corner and 'cut my teeth' there for.

Is this the SW Coastal path up from Readymoney?
@TheVirtualTourist
@TheVirtualTourist 10 ай бұрын
No this walk - St Catherine's Parade - follows the valley from Readymoney.. and finishes when it comes to the main road out of Fowey.. near my old school. We used to go on cross-country runs along it.. it must be about a mile long. This is the walk i think you mean.. Walk from Readymoney Beach to St Catherine's Castle in Fowey Cornwall - kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2mqYqiejthrfrc it goes from the beach up to St Catherine"s Castle.. from where you can connect up with the coastal path to the Gribbben.. ((the red and white tower.).. and then on to Par. -

I visited Colwyn Bay and Holyhead with my family in 1970. We spent the night before going to Ireland. I had studied English for four years, so I had to be the spokesperson. I ended up being an English teacher. I'm Swedish, and this was a really exotic trip for us back then. We took the ferry from Gothenburg to Harwich, and then by car to Holyhead. Lovely memories. I spent the night in the pub, talking to three elderly gentlemen, one Scottish, one English and one Welsh.

Hi, Virtual Tourist! I'm grateful for this little video. I'm visiting the area with a group and we're going to take the ferry to Kingswear, and the steam train after that. As far as I can see it on the map when we get off the ferry, we are at the station straight away, and I can get to the office without leaving the premises. Am I right? Thanks for helping.

0:32 - On the 16th of June 1940, a German photographer took an evocative photo of a legless and armless poilu from the Great War standing at this spot, despairing at seeing German troops parading through his city.
