This was me, but I did manage to become an “A” student after probation. Effectively lost a year of my life but watcha gonna do. I was also performing well in high school without any need to study at home, so I never managed to develop any work ethic before the university. Couple that with the general disinterest in the topic I’m majoring in and lack of purpose in life, and I dropped the studies hard in my 1st year in the university.

Honestly, the song and video work really well together. I may not like the message that Senua's past actions brought her to hell, but it still works with the video and your scene selections. Then again I only watched my brother play pieces of it, so I can't say I know the plot TOO well. Mixing in combat, especially in the instrumental, was a good idea. All in all its a good MV. Good job.

I'll be honest, it not the best thing I ever watched. That being said I have seen much worse than this, and I actually greatly enjoyed watching it. Once I saw the story you were trying to tell, I could see what you were going for. For a first time AMV, I'll give 4/5. You got places to improve, but you seem to have a good instinct for it. If the song and scene choice is anything to go by anyway. If you want to keep doing this, I say go right ahead.

I agree. Thanks for being honest. There are tried and true editing techniques that every good AMV employs that I just don't use, like proper masking. But the editing software I used didn't allow for it, so I had to get creative. The story wasn't very concrete either, but I did what I could. Thank you for saying I have good instincts. I always felt like I was a creative person, but just didn't have strong enough technical skills in anything to make my ideas shine.

Thanks a lot! It's my first "honest" attempt at making an AMV. I've made some really low-effort ones before in Windows Movie Maker back when I was like 12, but this was the first one I put in real effort. I'm glad you liked it. I just wish KZbin didn't compress it so much (it's the reason I kept it unlisted for a year). I'll include a link to download an HD version in the description.
