That 'terrier mix' is a Basset Hound, and they get along with all animals. They are wonderful dogs. When walking my Yogi, the cats in the neighborhood followed us religiously on early and late evening walks they followed us! Yogi and five cats, the biggest one right behind, down to the smallest based on size. They all sat and waited while Yogi did his bathroom thing and then got up and followed us, regardless of weather, traffic, noisy children chasing, nothing disturbed our line of followers. The neighbors couldn't believe it. And on his morning walk, we had one faithful cat who adored Yogi, Greygirl, a Russian Blue stray, and she was beautiful, soft, gentle, and loving. It was a wonderful experience.
