There are two cities in Botswana, I live in one of them, Gaborone. Everytime i go to Francistown, it's like I have visited a different country! City planning of the two cities is totally different, Francistown gives you the European vibe!

Hello again. I think a one bedroom house would cost you between P1 500 to P2000. Unfortunately most of the houses are not fully furnished. You bring your bed sofas. You will have running water and modern bathroom.

I want to travel to this country. I liked it and I see that the safety rate is high, but I do not have enough information to travel there because I do not want to lose a lot of money and ultimately something.
@edwinderick72Ай бұрын
Ok. For starters, the country is one of the safest in the world. Its a third world country but it has a lot to offer! Cultural tourism, game drives, This is a wildlife paradise and going on a guided game drive is one of the most exciting things to do in Botswana, visit the Chobe floodplain or the Okavango Delta where you will be spoilt for choice of the abundant nature, tate in this nature living in the the best bush lodges and camps! If you are a photographer this is where you can show your best skills. Some areas are teaming with different kinds of wildlife, the big five, birds, culture and heritage, entertainment and shopping. There is so much that this country can offer. Unfortunately the places are far apart and oneeds to do a little driving! Its best to drive and the car rentals are not bad. Accommodation is great as well especially at the areas where tourists like to go. In the cities and towns there is plenty of hotels and prices are good. Safety, well there is no place that is 100% safe, you can come across some people with bad intentions, you will be safe as long as you don't venture into the night alone! Generally people are very friendly. If you want to come do a little research about what to do and not do, where you want to go and how much it will cost you. If you want to bring a drone, you have to apply for a permit before you come with it, I think seven days before. Local currency is called Pula and it's equivalent to about $0.70 at the time of writing this.

Oh don't forget to check if you need a visa to enter the county. Electronic things, like cameras and cell phones can go missing if you are not careful. If you want to go out clubbing you can go with some locals.

By the way how much is the cost of the whole journey including transit? Just curious. I've been having a thought of purchasing some stuff from there but I don't have a clue how it goes. O babalesege Motswana wetso!!
@edwinderick723 ай бұрын
It depends on when you want to go. Its cheaper if you buy a ticket three weeks in advance. If you buy it closer to the date of departure it becomes higher not too expensive. I paid P22 000+ for 2 tickets return. If you have a long layover in Addis Ababa the airline gives you a complimentary hotel room full board. This is if you travel with Ethiopian airlines. Transit is not too expensive in India if you use public transport. Taxis can be expensive because they want to charge foreigners more. If you haggle with them you can get a good rate. Some guys can even wait for you while you shop as long as the charge is good for them. P1 is about 6 rupees, you can get things cheaper there. 🙏
